?Chapter 225:
“You are quite delicate, aren’t you?” Kaiden teased. He then slowly pulled her from under the covers and helped her sit up. “Raise your arms.”
Was he going to dress her now?
Ellie scrambled for the quilt and wrapped it around herself. “I can do it myself.”
Unfazed, he tugged at the quilt and tossed it aside. “I’ve seen everything, so why bother hiding it?”
By the time she was fully dressed, Ellie’s face was as red as a tomato.
Kaiden should have just let her do it herself. He didn’t even know how to properly put her underwear on! She had to show him, right then and there.
Ellie ducked her head, avoiding eye contact. Scenes from their recent encounter shed in her mind, and before she could stop herself, she spoke. “You hurt mest night.”
“What?” Her voice was so quiet that Kaiden didn’t catch her words. Ellie finally looked up, ring at him as she repeated in an usatory tone, “You hurt mest night! And you never apologized.”
Kaiden nced down at her. Beneath her dress, he knew her body was covered with hickeys. He also remembered how she had cried, and a flicker of regret crossed his mind. It was gone the next second.
Apologize to her, huh?
Kaiden Thorpe never apologized to anyone.
He had told her, hadn’t he? She deserved everything she gotst night. Without bothering to respond, Kaiden led the way out of the bedroom. He was a picky eater and didn’t like the hotel’s food. So, he picked up his phone and ordered takeout from his favorite high-end restaurant.
Ellie enjoyed the meal. It was the fanciest thing she had eaten since joining the filming crew. She was almost done when she noticed another bag on the table. It had been untouched since it arrived.
She peeked at its contents and eximed happily, “Milk tea! You ordered this for me?”

“It’s included in the meal,” Kaiden replied nomittally.
Ellie nced at the brand logo. It didn’t evene from the same restaurant where he had ordered the entire meal.
“Is this your way of apologizing to me?” she prodded. Why else would he order it without any apparent reason?
“You’re overthinking things,” Kaiden said, his face nk.
“Just so you know, this isn’t enough. If you really want to apologize, you should order another serving of fried chicken.”
“I already told you, it’s not an apology.” Kaiden’s voice was mildly irritated. This woman loved eating junk food all day.
Ellie smirked to herself, deciding not to poke the bear any further.
She stuck her straw into the cup and took a big sip.
Her face fell in disappointment.
