?Chapter 208:
Yet, she had to admit, Kaiden looked particrly handsome while working. His profile was striking, his gaze calm and deep, as if no challenge was too great for him. The car stopped outside the film set.
“I’m off. Bye!” As Ellie reached for the door, Kaiden draped a white mink coat over her shoulders.
The thick, warm fur shielded her from the morning chill that seeped in through the open car door.
Ellie paused, a thought crossing her mind. She turned to Kaiden, asking, “Are you really here on business?”
The luxurious mink coat was unlike anything avable in the city. Kaiden had imed he was on a business trip, but why would he bring such an exquisite coat on a work trip?
“Yes,” Kaiden answered calmly.
Despite his reassurance, Ellie’s intuition whispered that his visit wasn’t for business.
She tilted her head, eyeing him in a way that was almost cute. After a brief pause, she teased, “If you’re here just for me, I might reward you.”
“What kind of reward?” Kaiden’s interest was piqued.
Ellie hadn’t really thought it through. As she pondered, he suggested, “A good morning kiss? Or maybe a farewell kiss?”
Ellie, deciding not to scold him for his boldness in public, chose on a whim. “Farewell kiss.”
Kaiden’s chuckle was low and brief, betraying his good mood. “With your kissing skills?” he teased.
Ellie felt mocked. “What’s wrong with my kissing skills? My kissing skills…”
Before she could finish, Kaiden kissed her, cutting her off. Thankfully, Bruce wasn’t in the car, but she realized there was a driver!
Ellie tried to push him away, but he caught her wrists, holding them above her head, leaving her powerless to resist.
“Kaiden, don’t… Stop… Wait…”

He only stopped when he chose to.
After the kiss, Kaiden yfully wiped her lips. His usually cold demeanor had taken on a teasing air.
“Farewell kiss,” he dered. He didn’t need a reward; he’d take his farewell kiss himself. “And remember to take your medicine.”
Back in her hotel room, Ellie brooded. She hadn’t gotten the answer she wanted. She had hoped Kaiden would say, “No, I’m not here on business.”
The loud knocking on her door snapped Ellie out of her thoughts. Opening the door, she saw Susanna, anxious and urgent.
“Ellie, there’s trouble! The director’s upset because you didn’t finish your work on time. He’s really angry. You need toe quickly!” The meeting room was silent and tense. Along with the head of the clothing and makeup department, the main director was present, everyone waiting for Ellie.
“Ellie, where’s the makeup n for the supporting male actor I asked you to prepare yesterday?” Charlie inquired.
“I put it on your desk yesterday,” Ellie responded.
