Chapter 74

    ?Chapter 74:

Ellie’s spirits lifted. She was not afraid to make her demands.

“Firstly, Demi and Cristopherpromised thepany for personal gain. They should be dismissed. Yourpany must sever ties with them. Secondly, yourpany has unfairly stripped me of my rightful benefits. I expect a fitting exnation. How you exin it reflects yourpany’s sincerity. Mr. Thorpe, if my demands seem excessive, feel free to disregard them.”

Kaiden then handed Ellie his jacket.

Ellie cast a confused nce at Kaiden but didn’t dwell on the small gesture. She took his jacket, walking a couple of steps to hang it on a nearby floor-to-ceiling coat rack.

Kaiden was visibly pleased by her obedience.

The following day, Ellie received a conciliatory call from GT Group’s interview team. They admitted to some mimunications and expressed their hope for Ellie to join them as a cooperating stylist for the uing season.

Post-lunch, Bruce rang her, inquiring about her avability to sign a contract at GT Group’s headquarters.

Ellie was slightly taken aback by the sudden invitation but agreed to visit GT Group’s legal department.

Upon her arrival, she was greeted by the sound of a heated discussion from within.

“We just signed the contract yesterday, and the endorsement announcement was made. Why the sudden change?” Demi’s agent, a sharp woman in her thirties, was demanding an exnation, clearly unwilling to back down.

Demi, impably dressed and made up as though bracing for a battle, sat on the sofa with a sullen expression.

A representative from the legal department exined, “Cristopher from the brand department independently decided to sign with Miss Gordon, which contradicts thepany’s consensus. Therefore, we’ve chosen to terminate the contract. Although this was Cristopher’s error, we’re prepared topensate for the breach.”

He added with a smile, “This situation hasn’t really harmed you. Miss Gordon hasn’t begun any endorsements with us, but she will receivepensation.”

His tone implied Demi wasing out ahead financially.

Demi, infuriated, abandoned her usualposed public image. “Do you think I’m after money? This is humiliating. Everyone knows I was the chosen spokesperson. With the contract now void, what are my fans and the public going to think?”

The agent seized the moment. “We made numerous concessions to sign this contract, yet you reneged the very next day. If you act unjustly, don’t expect us to sit idly by. Imagine the bacsh if the public learns you breached the contract for no reason. It would surely tarnish yourpany’s reputation, wouldn’t it?” Clearly, this was a subtle threat.

The legal department representative couldn’t help but chuckle. “Let’s set the record straight. It was you who hyped the endorsement news about Miss Gordon. Any public bacsh should be directed at yourselves, not mypany.”

His implication was clear: they were responsible for their own overreach.

“Moreover, Miss Gordon reduced her endorsement fee by three million just to exclude a stylist. If that news leaked, I wonder who’d suffer more from the fallout.”

Demi, seething, fixed her gaze on the representative. “Do you even know who I am?”

“Miss Gordon, if you wish to throw your weight around, I’d suggest returning to the Gordon family.”
