Cheating 5

Instead of answering directly, I pulled a document from my bag and ced it gently on the table.

“What is this?” She reached for it with trembling hands.

“Marcus’s medical report,” I said coldly. “From three months ago.”

Rain opened the report, and when she saw the critical data, she looked like she’d been struck by lightning.

The report clearly showed: severe oligospermia, natural conception probability nearly zero.

“Still think that baby’s his?” I asked with a cold smile.

Rainpletely broke down, clutching her head and sobbing. “No! This can’t be right! I never slept with anyone else, only Marcus!”

“Never slept with anyone else?” I scoffed. “I’ve seen plenty of your type-sugar daddies lined up around the block. Amazing you even got pregnant.”

“Stop pretending. You know damn well whose baby that is.” I stood up, looking down at her.

“I suggest you think carefully-disappear on your own, or wait for me to make you disappear.”

With that, I walked out of the café without looking back.

When I got home, Marcus was in the living room frantically making calls-hispany was finished, all the major clients were pulling out.

He hung up and looked at me withplete desperation in his eyes.

“Babe, could you get your dad to help? Please, I’m begging you.”

“Okay, I’ll try calling him,” I said, pretending to hesitate.

“Thank you, honey!” He grabbed my hands excitedly. “I knew I could count on you when it really mattered.”

    Just then, his phone rang.

    Caller ID: Sweetie.

Marcus quickly declined the call, but it kept ringing over and over.

“You gonna answer that?” I said casually.

“Just some unimportant call,” he said, trying to stay calm.

“If it’s not important, why not answer it?” I pressed him.

Sweat started beading on Marcus’s forehead. “It’s work stuff…”

    Just then, the doorbell rang.

I went to open it. Standing there was a haggard-looking woman-Rain Sullivan.

“Vivian Hartwell!” she screamed. “This is all you! You deliberately gave me fake medical reports! You’re trying to break us up!”

Marcus rushed over, staring at Rain in horror. “What are you doing here? Get out of here, now!”

“Why should I leave?” Rain was crying hysterically. “Marcus, tell her we’re really in love! Tell her I’m carrying your baby!”

“Well, Marcus? Care to exin?” I asked calmly.

Marcus looked deathly pale, his lips trembling as he struggled to speak.

Seeing his silence, Rain became even more frantic.

“Say something! Didn’t you say you loved me? Didn’t you say you’d marry me? Didn’t you say she was just your personal ATM?”

Hearing “personal ATM,” my heart wentpletely cold.

    So that’s all I was to them-an ATM machine. <fneb1b> ???? ????s? ???????s ?? findnovel</fneb1b>

“Enough!” Marcus finally spoke, ring viciously at Rain. “Are you insane? Coming to my house spouting this nonsense?”

Rain was stunned-clearly she hadn’t expected him to turn on her like this.

    “Marcus, what do you mean?”

“What do I mean?” Marcus sneered. “I’m telling you, I never promised to marry you! That apartment was severance pay! We’repletely done!”

“No!” Rain screamed. “You can’t treat me like this! I’m having your baby!”

“Baby?” A cruel glint shed in Marcus’s eyes. “You sure that’s my kid?”
