Chapter 174

    ?Chapter 174:

    “p!”

Appalled by her increasingly harsh words, Kristopher pped her sharply across the face, his voice stern. “That’s enough, Maggie! Belinda is your sister-inw. She’s treated you well for the past three years. How can you talk about her like this? Apologize to Belinda, now!”

Maggie’s eyes widened in shock, her hand flying to her swollen cheek as if she couldn’t believe her brother had struck her.

Tears pooled in her eyes before spilling over, and she cried out in a broken voice. “Kristopher, you hit me! You hit me for this bitch!”

    “Apologize to her right now!”

Kristopher’s voice was a sharpmand, his brow furrowed in disapproval.

“Why should I?” Maggie retorted through her sobs. “Even if the child she aborted is yours, hasn’t she cheated on you? Haven’t you seen how she flirts with other men? She’s far from innocent!”

With those words, she spun around, her re piercing Belinda. “And she keeps dangling divorce over your head but never follows through. She just doesn’t want to divorce. She wants to wedge herself between you and Cathy forever! Why should I apologize to someone like that?”

“Is that so?” Allen, who had remained silent until now, suddenly raised his eyebrows. “Miss Cox, Belinda is legally your brother’s wife!” He leaned casually against the door frame, arms crossed, a mocking smile ying on his lips. “You mean awful wedded wife is a mistress?”

Maggie shot back, “The true mistress is the one who isn’t loved!”

Witnessing his sister’s relentless behavior, Kristopher reached his limit. He grabbed his phone, dialed Marc’s number, and said tersely, “Come and take Maggie away.”

There was a brief silence on the other line before Marc responded, “Understood.”

Momentster, Marc appeared at the ward door, nked by two muscr men who promptly escorted Maggie out.

“Kristopher!” Maggie protested with a look of distress as she was carried away. “What I said is true! She’s the one between you and Cathy…”

At that, Kristopher sighed heavily. He turned to Belinda, his expression apologetic. “I’m sorry on her behalf. She’s young and foolish.”

Belinda, holding Anthony’s hand, replied icily, “She’s a year older than me. Young and foolish?”

She didn’t hide her disdain. “I don’t need your apology. Just keep your sister in check.”

She then arched an eyebrow at Kristopher. “I’ve cleaned up her messes more than once. I have proof. And since she wants to be an actress…” Belinda’s voice dropped to a menacing whisper. “I wonder how she’d feel if I made all her secrets public?”

A hint of surprise flickered across Kristopher’s face as he stammered, “You… You’ve been helping Maggie?”

    “Or what?”

Before Belinda could answer, Anthony’s frown deepened. He removed the oxygen mask, his voice faint, yet his diction was clear. “Don’t you realize what kind of person your own sister is? Haven’t you noticed? Since the day you woke up, she hasn’t once troubled you with her personal dilemmas.”
