Forget the 59

    Chapter 4

Sage also stumbled out of the bedroom with her clothes all disheveled.

She put on an innocent face and said, “Maya, please don’t get the wrong idea. I was just too scared to go back to the dorm, especially since you pped me earlier today. My face is still hurting…”

Iughed coldly. “Don’t worry, I won’t disturb you two. I already told Leo we’re breaking up. I’m just here to get my

    stuff.”

Then I walked straight into the bedroom.

Suddenly, Sage grabbed my pocket and demanded, “Maya, were you secretly filming us?”

Before I could react, she snatched my phone away.

Sage immediately started going through my photo gallery.

I grabbed my phone back and yelled, “Get lost! You have no right to look at my phone.”

Sage immediately shot Leo a pleading look. “Leo, she took photos of us, and just now we were…”

She was too embarrassed to continue.

Leo panicked when he heard this.

He stepped forward to block me and said, “Maya, since you insist on breaking up, fine, I won’t argue. But let’s end this civilly–you have to delete those photos.”

“Is this how you ask people for favors?” I shot back. “If you don’t want people to know, don’t do it in the first ce. Should I be the one apologizing to you guys for interrupting your fun?”

    Leo frowned deeply.

“Maya, I just made a mistake that all men make. Are you nning to post those photos and ruin my reputation? Delete them now, or you’re not leaving here tonight.”

Then Leo forcibly grabbed my phone.

But I’d already locked the screen, and after Leo tried several times, the phone gotpletely locked.

Sage came up with an idea. “Leo, why don’t we just smash the phone? As long as she can’t get the photos out, we’re good.”

    Leo agreed.

I rushed forward to stop them. “No! There’s a lot of important stuff on that phone. Leo, don’t break it!”

    Chapter 4

Every time I got a new phone, I’d transfer all my photos and chat records to it.

That included thest voice message from my beloved grandmother.

If the phone was gone, everything would be gone.

During our struggle, Leo lost his patience and kicked me to the ground.

Then he mmed my phone hard onto the floor without hesitation.

I crawled forward desperately, but Sage grabbed my hair.

She wasn’t pretending anymore and showed her truly vicious smile. “Maya Thompson, look at you now! Time for me to return that p!”

Leo encouraged her. “That’s right, Sage. This is how you should be–don’t start trouble, but if someone messes with you, you mess with them right back. That way, no one will dare bully you!”

Sage then put all her strength into pping me several times.

Still not satisfied, she started wing at me like a maniac.

Sage lowered her voice and said through gritted teeth, “Truth is, I’m just jealous of you. Why do you get such a great boyfriend? Why can you find jobs so easily? Why are you better than me at everything? But now, all of this belongs to

me. Ha!”

I felt searing pain in my temples.

    My hearing was getting fuzzy.

Suddenly, Leo’s phone rang, and after answering he said to Sage, “Alright Sage, that’s enough. Get yourself cleaned up and I’ll take you to sign the contract with Thompson Group. Time to show you how the big leagues work. Thompson’s the top dog in this city–nail this deal and I’m looking at a promotion to department manager.”

    Sage nodded.

No one cared about me lying there with blood all over my mouth.

Before leaving, Leo said withplete disgust, “Maya Thompson, clean yourself up and then get the hell out of my ce. From now on, we’re done for good. Stop stalking us–after all, you have no proof we beat you up. Actually, you’re the one who broke into someone’s home in the middle of the night. We were just defending ourselves.”

I struggled to get up and crawled toward my phone,

    Luckily, it still turned on.

But the screen waspletely shattered and white.

Thank god I had set up an emergency contact feature.
