Xylia’s wrist was suddenly seized, and her heart gave a violent jolt. Her face turned pale.
As soon as Frankie grabbed her, the crowd began to cheer.
“It’s just a game. I don’t mind, so why should you?” Frankie looked at Xylia. “Or are you saying you don’t like
me?”
“Are you crazy?” Xylia struggled, trying to pull away. She felt that Frankie was a creep, and that the ss reunion was just a trap set specifically for her.
Seizing the opportunity, Tessa raised her hand and pushed Xylia in the back. Xylia stumbled forward and was caught by Frankie in his arms. The crowd’s cheers grew louder.
Xylia struggled, shouting, “Let go of me!”
But Frankie held her tightly, refusing to release her, and lowered his head to kiss her. Xylia quickly dodged, and pped Frankie hard across the face.
Amid the crowd’s uproar, Frankie’s anger red up. He gripped Xylia’s hands tightly, pulling her closer.
“Get off me!” Xylia shouted.
A loud bang sounded nearby.
Frankie stopped his movements and turned his head just as a bottle flew from afar, striking him hard on the head. He cried out in pain, clutching his forehead as blood began to pour out.
Xylia saw this, but didn’t stop to care. While everyone was still in shock, she quickly got up and broke out of the crowd.
As she stepped outside, she looked up and saw Joshua’s cold face. “Joshua? What are you doing here?”
Joshua looked at her pale face, her eyes still glistening with the tears she had been too frightened to shed. His expression grew darker, and the predatory gleam in his eyes was unmistakable.
Frankie looked down at his hand, seeing the blood pooling in his palm. His anger red. He stood up and red at Joshua. “How dare you hit me? Do you have a death wish?”
Joshua silently observed everyone, his cold gaze impossible to ignore.
Tessa walked to the front of the crowd, eyeing Joshua and Xylia. With a mockingugh, she said, “So you’re the man Xylia’s been keeping on the side? I don’t think you were invited to our reunion, were you?”
Analia stepped forward, examining Joshua closely. She let out a softugh. “You’re definitely good–looking, but what could you possibly see in Xylia?
“She’s no longer a wealthy wife. How could she possibly afford to keep you? Why don’t youe with me? I can be your sugar mommy.”
Xylia nced at Joshua’s pale face, frowning as she was about to say something.

Joshua grabbed her hand and pulled her behind him. “Your family will be bankrupt by tomorrow. What do you have to support me?”
Upon hearing this, Analia cursed at Joshua. “Are you cursing me? Do you have a death wish?”
Analia started to move toward him, but Tessa stepped in front of her. Tessa walked up to Joshua with a mocking look. At this point, she stopped pretending.
“You’re just a driver for the Garcia family–what’s there to be so arrogant about? Do you even know who the people here are? You can’t afford to offend any of them,” Tessa said.
Then she called over a waiter. “Get security to throw this man out, or I’ll file aint against you.”
The venue was reserved for them, and an outsider here was definitely the owner’s fault.
Upon seeing Joshua’s face, the waiter froze. Joshua looked at him, and the waiter immediately shifted his gaze to Tessa. “Sorry, but you’re the ones who need to leave.”
Analia could no longer take it. She rushed forward, pointing at the waiter, “What did you just say? We paid to reserve this ce, and now you want to kick us out?”
The crowd around her started speaking all at once.
“Who does business like this? I’ll file aint right now,” someone said.
“We paid, so why are you treating us like this?”
The waiter maintained a calm, firm demeanor. “We have surveince here. Everything that just happened, including how you bullied thisdy, was recorded. You can either leave now or I’ll call the police.”
“You!” Analia shouted, but was stopped by Tessa. If this escted to the police station and the footage was released, Tessa would not escape public bacsh.
She whispered in Analia’s ear, “Analia, if this blows up, it’ll be hard to exin when we get home.”
Although Analia was the spoiled youngest child in her family, her father cared deeply about face. If he found out she ended up at the police station over a ss reunion, he would actually take action.
She shivered and cast a fierce re at Xylia and Joshua. “Just wait!” With that, she grabbed her bag and left.
Tessa approached Joshua and Xylia, lowered her voice, and said, “You’re just the Garcia family’s driver. Using their influence to act arrogantly. Sooner orter, I’ll make you pay for this.”
Joshua snorted coldly. “Try it.” Joshua’s presence was truly overwhelming.
Tessa had intended to warn Joshua, but she was nearly suffocated by the oppressive force of his presence. She followed behind Analia, almost as if she were fleeing.
The others left one by one as well, clearly afraid of police involvement. Soon, only Joshua, Xylia, and Frankie

“I don’t need your fake kindness, Xylia. I’ll remember what happened tonight.” He red at Xylia, then shot a death re at Joshua, clutching his forehead, and walked away.
Xylia stood there, speechless. She wasn’t being kind–she was worried that if something happened to him, Joshua would get dragged into it.
“Is everything alright?” A worried voice came from above.
Xylia looked up and met Joshua’s concerned gaze. She smiled. “I’m fine.”
“You obviously don’t get along with these people. Why did you evene to the ss reunion?” Joshua asked.
“I thought that, since I was about to leave, it would be nice to see my old ssmates. Unexpectedly, it turned out that it would have been better not to see them at all,” she replied.
Xylia nced at the darkening sky and asked, “Have you eaten?”
Joshua shook his head.
“Well, in that case, let me treat you to dinner. No need to save money for me today,” Xylia said.
Joshua furrowed his brows, observing her closely as if trying to find even the slightest hint of pretense in her expression. But there was nothing. It seemed like she had truly moved on from what just happened.
Although just moments ago, she had been on the verge of tears from fear.
Joshua pressed his lips together and said softly, “Alright.”
