"Mason Raymond, how dare you say such rebellious words!" The purple-robed men around me jumped to their feet, shouting!
To them, the senior officials were holy figures, beyond any doubt or challenge!
But I couldn''t care less. I got up and walked straight toward the eight empty chairs.
"Mason Raymond, you wouldn''t dare!" One purple-robed guy rushed at me!
I didn''t even nce his way. One casual swipe of my hand sent him flying into the wall, where he crumpled and didn''t move!
These purple-robed men were just Peak Form Military Marquises. How could they possibly match me?
The other purple-robed men went dead quiet, terror written all over their faces.
I strode right up to the eight empty chairs and created a spiritual fire with a flick of my wrist.
Using the spiritual fire''s glow, I tried to spot any hidden secrets in the shadows.
But even with the spiritual fire lighting everything up, the darkness revealed absolutely nothing!
"How can this be?" I frowned.
"Did you eight senior officials already run away?" I taunted.
"Ridiculous! The senior officials would never fear you!" someone snapped back.
I ignored them. I looked over all eight seats, and sure enough, every single one was empty.
Just as I was trying to figure this out, a voice drifted from the darkness.
"Mason Raymond, you''ve forced your way into the Capital City Martial Arts Association''s meeting room. Have you considered what might happen to you!"
That voice belonged to a senior official!
I tracked the sound, trying to locate where they were hiding.
But the voice seemed to echo from everywhere at once - I couldn''t pin down where it came from.
"What kind of trick are they using?" I wondered.
"Mason Raymond, don''t get cocky over your small victories. This world holds many things beyond your understanding." Another senior official''s voice rang out.
I scratched my head, still gripping the Golden Light. Then I hurled it straight at where I thought the senior officials were!
"Boom!"
The chair exploded into pieces, but the senior officials still didn''t show themselves.
"Weird." I muttered.
"What kind of technique are you using to stay hidden?" I asked, genuinely confused.
"Our methods are beyond your grasp." The senior official''s voice came again.
Before I could respond, another senior official cut in: "Everyone, leave now."
"Yes, senior official." The purple-robed men bowed.
"What''s the rush?" But I mmed the door shut with one palm strike.
"You all wanted a meeting, right? Keep going then. I''ll stick around and hear what garbage you''re nning." I plopped down in a chair and started swinging my legs.
A senior official snarled, "Mason Raymond, do you really think our Capital City Martial Arts Association has no way to handle you?"
I squinted and grinned, "Yeah, that''s exactly what I think."
"If I''m right, your real bodies are tucked away in the Paramount Mystic Realm, aren''t they? Hiding in the Mystic Realms?" I sneered.
The senior officials wentpletely silent, basically confirming my guess.
"Since your actual bodies can''t show up here, what exactly can you do to me?" I scoffed.
"Mason Raymond, what are you nning!" A senior official yelled.
I leaned back in my chair, saying coolly, "I came here for one reason today, and that''s... to kill!"
As I spoke, my eyes swept across the purple-robed men sitting around the room.
"Aren''t you supposed to be the Capital City Martial Arts Association''s right and left hands? Sure, I can''t destroy the whole Association yet, but chopping off its arms? That I can handle." I said casually.
At those words, the purple-robed men went pale with horror!
I was really going to kill them all?!
"Mason Raymond, are you... trying to intimidate us? We don''t scare easily!" One purple-robed man tried to sound brave.
I looked at him, suddenly made a fist, and threw a punch!
The Golden Light rushed out like a flood, carrying devastating power and turning the purple-robed man into mush!
"Did you think I was kidding?" I said coldly.
Now nobody dared to make a sound.
"Mason Raymond, you''re the first person to act this bold in the Capital City Martial Arts Association." A senior official said icily.
I burst outughing, "Since you can''t bring out a Martial Saint, you''ve got no way to stop me."
"Do you really believe we can''t deploy a Martial Saint?" Another senior official threatened.
I raised an eyebrow and said, "What, scared of the Guardians?"
The senior officials suddenly went quiet.
Clearly, they were just as worried about the Guardians.
"Alright, I''m done chatting with you guys." I stretched and got to my feet.
Then I shed a demonic grin and said coldly, "Today, I''m going to ughter all your purple-robed men right in front of you eight senior officials!"
The moment those words left my mouth, I vanished. In a split second, I appeared in front of one of the purple-robed men.
The purple-robed man looked shocked and before he could even react, I punched straight through his chest!
Instantly, all the purple-robed men panicked and tried to run.
The meeting room filled with endless screams and the thick smell of blood.
Phoebe Billy, that clever guy, stood off to the side quietly, looking for his chance to escape.
Meanwhile, I deliberately left him alive and killed the other purple-robed men first.
While I was butchering them, Phoebe took his chance and bolted from the meeting room!
The meeting room reeked of blood.
The massacre went on for a full thirty minutes.
The supposedly invincible purple-robed squad waspletely wiped out.
Blood pooled everywhere, and carnage filled the room.
My body was also soaked red with blood, while the twenty-plus golden cores in my hand lit up the dark meeting room!
I wiped the blood off my face, then sat in a chair and casually grabbed Phoebe''s cigarette from the table, sticking it in my mouth.
"Well, so you eight senior officials just watched me kill people like that, huh? How''s it feel - pretty ufortable, right?" I mocked.
At this point, a senior official spoke up, "Those were just insects. We don''t care about them."
"To us, peak-form Marquises can be trained anytime."
My eyes narrowed and I said coldly, "They worship you like gods, but you treat them like bugs."
"Haha, shouldn''t gods look down on mortals?" A senior officialughed coldly.
"Those who are revered, how can they worry about such meaningless lives?"
My expression grew colder and colder. Furiously, I said, "Why are there so many arrogant monsters like you everywhere?"
The senior officials didn''t get mad at my words. Instead, they said indifferently, "Mason Raymond, why don''t we sit down and have a conversation?"
"Talk?" I raised an eyebrow and then smirked, "Sure."
