Chapter 121
Aria’s POV
I saw it clearly–a sh of panic on I’s face.
She was scared now. I was sure of it.
&
Then she swallowed hard before crying out loud, “I haven’t seen this man since I left Grayson. It’s normal that I didn’t recognize him right away, isn’t it? What are you trying to say, Aria? Are you
using me of another crime AGAIN?”
“You are right. I think Glen was working for you to kill me,” I said coldly.
There was a round of gasps. The elders burst into noisy chatter. Then one of them shouted, “That’s goddamn ridiculous! Why would a woman of Lady I’s status ever try to kill you?!”
I eyed them icily. I could see why she brought them now. She wanted them to fight her battles. Men were always just tools to her.
I put on a hurt expression and said in a pitiful voice, “This isn’t the first time she has used me of those horrible things. Elders, I really don’t know what to do anymore. Aria just keepsing after
me…-I am so scared, so helpless…”
I red at her. She’s scared?! God she’s gotta be kidding me!
One elderforted her, “Don’t worry, Lady I. We all know that you are a decentdy. If she bothers you again, you should definitely take action. It’s not your fault–it’s only because she has gone
too far.”
Another elder added, “Not to mention she’s just amoner. Since when can amoner use a
noble of anything? You could have her thrown in jail if you want-”
“Watch your fucking mouth. That’s my girlfriend you are talking about,” Grayson growled, his voice icy.
They immediately shut up, not daring to say another word.
“Grayson, you promised me your girlfriend would leave me alone afterst time. So what is this again?” I asked.
“Oh I’ll leave you alone–after we watch the security footage from this house together,” I said, narrowing my eyes at her. “You probably didn’t know about this…but Glen said some pretty interesting things about you before he died. And it was all caught on camera.”

She looked a bit flustered and forced a smile. “Aria, the man who tried to kill you was Glen, and he’s been executed already. I don’t think we need to waste our time on the footage anymore. What do you want us to see anyway–how he chased you around the house?”
“No. But he admitted your involvement in this crime. On camera. I think everyone here needs to see it,” I said sharply, turning to a soldier. “Go get the footage. Now!”
I’s face grew even paler. She couldn’t even keep her fake smile anymore. “Don’t go! This is absurd. I don’t know how you upset Glen, but clearly he wanted you dead over some personal issue. And it has nothing to do with me!”
“I only assigned Glen to protect Aria a few days ago. They’d never even spoken to each other before this. What personal issue could it be?” Grayson said coldly. “Now even I’m curious about the footage. Go. Bring it over.”
The soldier had his Alpha’s order now. He didn’t hesitate and ran off to find the security footage.
I’s expression was precious. She was trying to hide it, but I could see fear and nervousness written all over her face. She had no idea what Glen had said before he died, and not knowing was driving her
crazy.
“You look scared, Lady I. Why?” I asked, smirking. “Are you afraid that his words will confirm your crime? That everyone will see what a fake, cold woman you really are?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about! This is all in your head,” she insisted, still trying to act proud.
But I could see sweat on the back of her neck.
“Alpha Grayson, I know you may not want to hear this, but I must say this–Miss Collins has gone too far!” an elder snapped. “She’s amoner, Normally she wouldn’t even be allowed to speak face–to- face with Lady I. But look at her now, bullying ourdy in public. This is truly outrageous…”
Grayson cut him off, his tone arrogant. “Aria’s my girlfriend. I give her the right to say and do whatever she wants. And nobody should have a problem with it.”
“But Alpha-”
“Careful,” he warned coldly. “I just fired one elder today. I can make you the second.”
That shut the elder up pretty good.
I gave the group a cool smile. “You don’t believe me about I trying to have me killed? Fine. But let me guess something else. How did I get to you, huh? Did she sit too close and whisper in your ear in a very seductive voice? Did shepliment your watch and deliberately touch your wrist and lingered there? Or has she ever ‘identally‘ dropped something and bent over to grab it so you could see

down her shirt?”
Almost every elder’s face changed instantly. They looked nervous and ufortable.
“Looks like I was right,” I said lightly.

“Bullshit!” I cried out angrily. Her elegant mask hadpletely cracked. “I never did any of those things. Stop making up stories about me.”
I shrugged. “Oh those are not just stories. I’m one hundred percent sure they happened. In fact, it’s how you approached every man and made them your pawns–including Otto and Glen.”
She looked like she wanted to scratch my eyes out. And just then, the soldier came back from his
mission.
“Alpha Grayson, I have the footage here,” he announced.
“Good. y it for everyone,” I said immediately.
But I rushed forward and stood in front of the TV. She bit her lip and looked at Grayson with tearful
eyes.
“Are you really going to be so cruel to me, Grayson?” she sobbed.
I cursed. Grayson replied calmly, “It’s only to prove you’re innocent.”
“No, this is your girlfriend trying to humiliate me,” she cried. “I thought even after our divorce, we could still be friends, and we could still be each other’s special one. But if you do this to me today… You’ll destroy everything we once had. Is that really what you want, Grayson?”
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
SPECIAL ONE?! Is she fucking kidding me right now? I’m still standing right here!
And I can’t believe she’s using their past to threaten him!
I was shaking with anger. Then Grayson spoke up: “If that’s how you feel, then maybe we shouldn’t see each other anymore.”
I froze. “Grayson…”
“It clearly gives you the wrong idea. Makes you think you still have special privileges with me. But you don’t. I’ve moved on, and I suggest you do the same.”
Then he turned to the soldier. “Get Lady I out of the way. And y the video for us.”

“Yes, Alpha!”
I was pulled roughly aside. The TV screen lit up, showing security footage from the house today. Everyone saw how Glen sent all the guards away and then chased me around the house with a gun
and a knife.
When Grayson saw me nearly get shot in the head at the front door, he squeezed my hand so hard it hurt. I knew he was scared, so I squeezed back gently to calm he down.
The footage also recorded every word Glen said:
“…once you’re dead, no one will stand in Lady I’s way anymore. She will be Alpha Grayson’s
wife…”
“…Except Lady I… only she is perfect, pure…”

As the video went on, the murmurs in the room grew louder. Even the elders were looking at I with
doubt and shock now.
I stood stiffly, her face pale.
Suddenly, she rushed forward and paused the video. “I don’t think this proves anything,” she said in a shaking voice.
I said loudly, “It proves everything! Clearly, Glen was trying to kill me because of you-”
“And so what?” she shot back, staring me down. “It only shows that he was a crazy, troubled guy. Delusional. He thought I’d thank him for this, but I never said a single word to him that I wanted dead. So this has nothing to do with me!”

I clenched my fists in disbelief. “That’s ridiculous. Why would someone risk his life to kill for you if you
didn’t lead him on?”
“That’s what happens to women with too much charm. We get a lot of fans, whether we want them or not,” she said arrogantly, ncing at me. “But maybe that’s too hard for you to understand because no man has been this crazy about you.”
How thick–skinned was she?! I stepped closer and snapped, “Are you saying you never hinted to Glen that you wanted me dead? That you never gave him the order?”
“NEVER!”
She denied without hesitation and lifted her chin, looking proud like a queen, “What Glen did was his own choice. I didn’t ask him to be this obsessed with me. So you can’t say I’m a part of this crime.

Don’t you agree, elders?”
Q
、 ???, 55% ?
This time, the elders didn’t back her up so quickly. Some hesitated, looking unsure. Finally, one slowly
said:
“…Perhaps we shouldn’t me Lady I. Because look at her–a woman so beautiful and perfect like her, it’s normal to have some crazy fans…”
“What kind of ‘crazy fan‘mits murder?! It’s obvious she led him on!” I snapped.
“Wrong. To me, Lady I is clearly a victim too,” the elder said slyly. “Having a madman obsessed with her is a nightmare. It brings troubles you can’t possibly imagine. So please stop attacking her, Miss Collins. Have some sympathy for this poor woman.”
I quickly wiped her eyes and sobbed, “Oh I’m used to it, elder. Sometimes the deepest cutse from my fellow women. I don’t know why they hold so much hatred for their own gender.”
“It’s because you’re too perfect. They’re all jealous, mydy.”
Fuck it.
I couldn’t believe it. She’s getting away with it again. God these elder men were so stupid!
“At least you can’t deny that you two were very close,” I persisted. “Maybe Glen picked up on something you said about me…”
I let out a snort, “Nonsense. I’m ady and ady never speaks to her guards and servants directly. That’s not how we were raised. So I don’t know where he got all those crazy thoughts, but some
people are just hardwired that way—”
“LIAR!!”
Suddenly, a voice boomed from the door.
Delh strode in, followed by several maids. Each of them carried arge bag.
“Stop lying, you shameless lying whore!” Delh yelled, pointing at I. “We just came back from Glen’s apartment. And we found all kinds of evidence that you were leading him on–even seducing him. Girls, pour it out!”
The maids turned the bags upside down.
…Photos, printed chat logs, and discs spilled all over the floor.
I’s eyes widened abruptly.

For the first time, she looked truly panicked.
