Chapter 147 Calyx
“That is not reassuring,” I growl as I follow Uncle William. My stress levels are still high. This is not helping my stress levels at all. But Uncle William keeps walking until we are a few doors down from Ama so she cannot over here us. “William?”
“There are markers in her blood that show she might be pregnant,” he tells me as hees to a stop.
“Amalie’s…” I ask, I feel as if the floor has been removed from under me. I lean agains the wall, so I do not fall over.
“It’s too soon to tell for sure,” Uncle William tries to dissuade my line of thinking.
“How long until we can know for sure?” I demand as I look at my uncle.
“In three days, we can recheck and know for sure,” he tells me with a sigh. “But in the meantime, Ama needs to take it easy and rtively stress free. No more training until we know for sure.”
“Can she head home?” I ask. Ama is going to hate not being able to train. She was just really starting and now she has to stop. My stress level is starting toe down as I get use to the fact that Ie to terms with Amalie’s pregnancy. Amalie might be pregnant; I’m going to be a father. Goddess, we are going to have a pup.
“She can go home,” Uncle William says. “But our house may not be the safest ce for her.” I can hear the heartbreak in his voice. He does not want Ama and Rose to leave. Uncle William does not want to miss the pups growing up, Rose and the maybe pup.
I nod my head and walk back to Ama’s room. I let out a sigh. This is going to suck. I open the door back to Ama’s room. I take a deep breath to force myself to look calm and collected.
“So?” Mark demands at me as he holds Ama and Rose.
“Uncle William says that we can held home. He wants Ama to rest for a few days until we can know for sure,” I tell him and Ama.
Ama nods her head. She lets go of Rose and Mark to get off the bed. She starts to get up to leave. She then picks up Rose again and cradles her against her chest. From her posture, she is ready to leave. She lets out a growl of frustration.
“Love?” I ask in concern.
“My clothes stink and it’s making me nauseous,” she growls.
I share a look at Mark.
Ama catches our look. “I passed out because I was tired and a witch casted a spell on me. I did not pass out due to me might being pregnant,” she sighs in frustration.
“Here,” Mark huffs out augh as he hands her his shirt off his back.
Ama rolls her eyes as she hands Rose to me. She then snags Mark’s shirt.
I smirk as I turn Rose, so she is facing my chest. Rose let’s out a sigh as she starts to wake up.
Ama shucks her clothes and then slips on the oversized shirt. She bends over and picks up her dirty clothes. Ama wrinkles her nose in disgust at the smell.
I let out a chuckle as I snag the sweaty clothes. They don’t really smell like sweat as she had put them on after Beren shifted back. But if she is pregnant, it won’t matter how faint the smell.
“She will look prefect carrying our pup,‘ Zviad purrs at the prospect of being a father.
‘You okay with this?‘ I ask, I know that I am terrified, but ecstatic at being a father and watching our pup grow up. Don’t get me wrong, I love Rose, and she is my pup. But there is something about watching your mate grow your pup.
‘Why wouldn’t I be?‘ he growls in defense.

“I’m not looking forward tobor,” she mutters in defeat.
Gretchen lets out augh. “A few hours of pain are worth the life of the pup you are growing.”
“We don’t know if I’m pregnant,” Ama tries to defend.
“Oh sweetie,” Gretchen coos in understanding of the denial.
Ama burst into tears. Gretchen motions for Mark to set Ama down. Once she has her feet on the ground, Gretchen wraps her arms around Ama. She makes little shushing noises as she rocks Ama back and forth.
“It’s going to be alright,” she assures Ama again.
“I’m not ready to be a mother,” Ama bursts out into sobs.
“Oh sweetie, you are a mother and a wonderful one. You just to give birth to your own bundle of joy,” sheughs as she wipes Ama’s tears away from her
eyes.
“I’m terrified of messing up,” Ama admits.
“Were you
this scared of messing up with Rose?” I ask with a chuckle
“I was fucking terrified, and I had no one!” she hisses at me.
“And now you have an army here with you to help at any moment,” I tell her as I give her a kiss.
“You just have to ask,” Markughs as he kisses Ama next.
