Chapter 146 Amalie
I can feel the relief from my family as I am awake. Rose is settled in myp, dozing off. She is breathing deeply as she is almost asleep. Cal and Mark Have dragged chairs up to my bedside. They are refusing to leave me alone, trying to keep me awake just encase. I can feel how scared they are of the falling asleep and not waking up. Uncle Will is flitting about as he checks the monitors and my blood panel. After I woke up, they were able to draw blood and now we are acting for my full results.
Uncle Mike had headed back home to do some more research into seers. He had said that he was going to contact Alpha Harold and a few others to see what they knew. He had wheeled himself out of my room after he gave me a kiss on the cheek and promise to find out more. Uncle Mike had shared a fool with his mate before leaving.
James had steered Kira out of my room not long after I woke up. We could all feel her hostility towards me after Daniel had helped me to escape. I don’t me her for being mad at me. Daniel had outed himself as a traitor once he helped me escape and gave me the medallion. We have no way of knowing if he was alive or not as he had severed the link with his sister as she is supposed to be dead.
My mind wanders to how I am back in the hospital, again. I genuinely believe that I need to have a room reserved just for me.
“Whatcha thinking about so hard?” Mark asks as he gently squeezes my hand.
“So many things,” I sigh as I look at him.
“How can we help?” Cal whispers into my neck.
“I don’t know,” I sigh, trying not to let tears overwhelm me. “This all sucks. You guys deserve better.”
“Hey,” Mark says as he squeezes my hand to stop my spiraling. “We’ve been over this. You’re stuck with us, no matter what.”
“I know but doesn’t mean that I don’t feel guilty about everything,” I sigh. I tip my head back and look at the ceiling.
“Well, I can’t help with your guilt, but I can get you out of here,” Uncle Will says he looks up from his iPad.
“Everything ok?” I ask I focus back on the people in the room rather than the ceiling.
“As ok as things can be with magic involved,” Uncle Will sighs. “We really need to understand magic and witches better.”
“After we deal with Francesca, we could offer those that oppose her asylum?” I ask tentatively. My mind goes back to what Daniel said about receiving help. I ignore the looks from everyone in the room. “What if there are witches being forced to go along with Francesca’s crazy n?”
“Love,” Cal sighs in exasperation.
“No, Daniel said that he had a friend who is helping me behind Francesca’s back. We have to consider that some witches are being coerced into helping her What if there are a few witches that want out but can’t get out?” I ask.
“Darling, I don’t think that it is that simple,” Mark says as he holds my hand.

“I know it’s not that simple. I am not that na?ve,” I growl at him. I do not appreciate the patronizing. “But there have to be a few witches that are good That the fear of them, have not corrupted them into hating the world. Just because majority of them have been bad in the past doesn’t mean that there are a few good ones that need help.”
“Ok,” Cal says trying to cate me.
I growl at him in anger. I don’t want cating words. I want a promise to protect them as they have protected me.
Every male looks at me with an eyebrow raised of my growl.
“What?” I growl in frustration. My frustration, is growing.
“I’ll run a pregnancy test,” Uncle Will smirks as he raises his iPad. He hides his smirk from the
I try not to growl at him. “I’m not pregnant,” I hiss at him. “We just had sex a few days ago. There is no way that 1 ant pregnant
Chapter 146 Amalie
“Werewolf pregnancies are a lot faster than humans,” he chuckles at nte.
“Just because I am a high school dropout doesn’t mean I don’t know how our pregnancy works,” I growl. Great, now I am groweting again takes at least a week to figure out if someone is pregnant, for sure.”
“We only need a few days after sex,” Uncle Will tells me. “Seeing how you had unprotected sex during your mating ceremony, there is th you got pregnant.”
“I’m pregnant?” I ask hesitantly.
“We don’t know for sure,” Mark tries to assure me, but there is hesitation in his tone.
Cal squeezes my hand as we wait for Uncle Will to check my blood sample. Before we find out answer, Uncle Will speed walks out of my room. Cal, Mark, and I look at each other in confusion. My fear spikes at not knowing.
Cal ces a quick kiss on my lips. He then is walking out of my room to find Uncle Will knows.
“Breathe,” Mark orders me.
“What if I am pregnant?” I ask, tears sliding down my cheeks.
“Then you
are going to be an amazing biological mother,” Mark says as he kisses my forehead.
“I’m not ready for a baby,” I say as more tears slide down my cheeks.
“Hey, it’s going to be okay. You have Cal and I. Also, you have Uncle Will, Uncle Mike, Vickie, Sam, James, Nick, and many more,” Mark tries to assure the He wraps his arms around me, and I bury my face into his chest.
Goddess, I am a mess. “We can’t have a pup right now. We have Francesca to worry about,” I cry.
t’s going to be okay,” Mark says soothingly.
