Chapter 111 Amalie
I sigh as I walk into the house behind the twins. I take a deep breath, breathing in the fresh scents of my family. Uncle Mike and Uncle Will had been alring out the house since the attack. The one rogue that Mark killed out front, had stunk so bad. From his scent, he must have turned rogue at a
young age.
Now, thank the goddess, his scent was barely there. It was starting to smell like home again.
“Go shower,” Cal says as he kisses my forehead. He turns and makes his way to the kitchen.
“You okay?” Mark asks gently as he faces me.
“I’m not sure,” I sigh as I look up at him.
He nods his head in understanding. He then ces a gentle kiss on my forehead. “I’ll go check on the munchkin before I go help make chocte pancakes,” he says with a smile.
I nod my head. I turn towards my room. A hot shower sounds wonderful. I grab some different clothes and make my way to the bathroom. I need to go shopping or stop back by my old home soon. I need a few things.
I wrinkly my nose at that thought of going back to my parents‘ house.
‘I say we just torch it,‘ Beren grumbles.
‘I want my china set first and then we can torch it,‘ I say determinedly.
“And that ne,‘ Beren says.
“What ne?” I ask as I start the shower. I then get undressed.
“The one the twins gave you when you turned twelve,‘ she says.
My ne, I had </bpletely forgotten about that one. I had also forgotten that I had told Beren about it when she first came to me. It was one of the stories I told her when I was first trying to
hang on.
and
I had hidden the ne shortly after I got it. Melisa had made a fewments about wanting the ne. I knew if my parents saw it or ever found it, they would have taken it from me. A Thomas would have handed over my ne without a second thought.
I sigh as I get into the shower. My mind travels back to that first year, when it was hell. I spent hours talking to myself and then to Beren. I told her about my childhood and then about the twins. We talked about anything and everything.
Chapter 111 Amalle
When had I started keeping secrets from my wolf? ‘Beren,‘ I say softly.
‘You going to tell me about the dreams?‘ she asks me just as softly.
“I’m sorry I haven’t told you sooner,‘ I tell her. I start to wash my hair.
‘I know,” she whispers to me.
‘I don’t even know why I felt like I needed to keep them from you,‘ I tell her honestly.
‘I don’t trust those dreams, she tells me.
Maybe that is why I felt so strongly in keeping them secret from her. Something in me already knew that she would not trust Francesca. ‘I trust Francesca, though,‘ I tell my wolf.
‘Why do you trust her?‘ Beren challenges me. She is not upset, but she wants to know why I would trust some random woman in my dreams.
‘I don’t know, I tell her honestly. Why should I trust someone that I have only met a few times in my dreams? I should be telling someone about this realm that only exists in my dreams. I wash my body. I should have told my wolf as soon as I woke up from my first dream. I should have told my mates after the second dream.
‘We will figure it out,‘ Beren tells me confidently. ‘We are in this together.”
“Together,‘ I tell her confidently as I rinse off. I then turn off the water and grab my towel. Making quick work of drying off, I hang up my towel and get dressed. I walk to the sink and brush my hair. I decide to leave down my hair so it can dry.
Once done, I leave the bathroom. I walk towards the kitchen.
“Where did Uncle Mike leave the chocte chips?” Mark asks as he riffles through the cabs.
“Pantry, top shelf behind the oatmeal,” Cal says as he is pouring batter onto the hot griddle. “Why up there? He can’t even reach it?” Mark asks as he goes towards the pantry.
“Uncle Will put it there to keep you from stealing them,” Cal says as he turns and points the spat at his twin.
I chuckle at the indigent look that crosses Mark’s face. He smiles at me as he grabs the chocte chips. Mark quickly hands over the chocte beforeing back to me. He wraps his arms around
my waist and pulls me close. Our lips find each other’s,
“Good shower?” Mark asks as he breaks the kiss.

“It was nice, but the prospect of chocte is nicer,” I smirk up at him.
“Not me?” he asks with a pout.
“Hmm,” I say yfully. “Well, you and Cal are very tempting.” I put a finger to my lips and pretend to think long and hard about my choices. “But chocte is something that I haven’t really had for a
while.”
‘Well, after we get you some chocte, we will have to ask the question again,” Cal smirks as he sprinkles the chocte onto the pancakes.
“That sounds like a good n,” I smile brightly.
Mark kisses me again. He then tugs me further into the kitchen. Mark picks me up and ces me on the counter.
I smile as I sit on the counter. It nice as I watch my mates cook me breakfast..
Mark snags one of the finished pancakes. He drizzles some syrup onto the pancake and then rolls it up. Mark smiles as hees over to where I am sitting. Mark offers me a bite of the rolled–up pancake.
I try to take the pancake from him so I can eat it. Mark’s smile turns into a smirk as he pulls the pancake away from me. I look at him in confusion. He slowly brings the pancake back towards me. I then slowly open my mouth. I smile as I take a bite from the pancake roll.
A girl could get used to her mates feeding her. Beren lets out a purr of agreement. I take another bite of the offered pancake.
When the first one is gone, Cal gives Mark a light shove out of
my knees and offers me his own pancake.
Mark rolls his eyes as he mans the griddle now.

I smile at Cal as I take a bite from the pancake. This one is full of chocte. “I love you,” I tell Cal.
“I love you too,” Cal whispers before he is snagging my lips with his own.
