Chapter 110 Calyx
1
‘I fucked up,‘ I sigh to Zviad as I follow our mate back towards home. We watch as Ama stomps her feet in frustration. I know she is mad at me, but she is very cute right now.
‘No, shit,‘ Zvind growls back in irritation at me. He is irritated that I pissed off our mate and now I can’t focus on anything besides her being cute.
‘I don’t know what I did wrong!‘ I say cluelessly. I rey what happened before Mark mind linked about Ama being pissed. I try to blockout how cute my little mate is as she is mad at me.
1 had been running my frustration, like I normally do, out when Mark had mind linked me, demanding to know what was going on. I told him that everything was fine and to go back to sleep. Mark had sarcastically said that he couldn’t until Ama was no longer pissed about something. I had then turned to find my mate gone. Panic overtook me, as I looked for Ama. I couldn’t smell apple
scent anywhere.
“She asked about seeing her parents,” Zviad sighs in irritation at me.
That’s right. She wants to go see them and I got upset. “I did not even notice I had tuned her out after that, I sigh softly to Zviad. ‘I just wanted to run out my irritation like we always do.”
Zviad is rolling his eyes at me. I just know he is done giving me hints as I puzzle out why Ama is mad. It then hits me. ‘She’s mad because I left her behind and then med her,‘ I shout in defeat to
Zviad.
‘Give then clueless idiot a prize, Zviad replies sarcastically.
“What did you do?” Mark demands of me as hees running towards us.
“He’s an idiot,” Ama replies for me, as she continues to seethe at me. Our mate continues to walk
back towards home.
“I am, and I’m so sorry,” I apologize, sincerity in my voice.
Ama freezes in her walk towards home. She turns and starts to scrutinize my face. “Why are you sorry?” Ama asks with a skeptical eye, making sure that I understand why she is mad.
“Because I am an idiot,” I reply. “I ignored you and left you behind. I then got mad at you when it
was my fault.”
She nods her head at me in approval. I can still feel some of her anger at me, but it’s down to a mild irritation now. “I want breakfast,” she sighs.
“Come on, we’ll make pancakes,” Mark smiles as he starts back towards home as well.

Ama nods her head and starts to follow.
“Love,” I call gently.
She freezes but does not turn back towards me.
I instead walk up behind her and loop my arms around her waist, I pull her back against me. I then whisper in her car, “I am so sorry, for everything.
She tilts her head upwards towards me. “I want chocte pancakes, and you will be forgiven,” she smirks.
I spin my little mate around so that way she is facing me. “Just chocte pancakes?” I question.
“Cal, I don’t want to stay mad,” she admits. “I was angry and irritated because you told me that I needed to stay with you two or Sam. You then blocked me out and took off at a faster pace. I
couldn’t mind link you, so I focused on my irritation.”
“I should not have ignored you,” I tell her.
“Cal, I do understand that you want to protect me from my parents, I really do. But I need answers. My parents never treated me like a daughter. I was an afterthought if I was lucky. I want to know why, I also want to know why I was forced to be locked up for seven years. They have answers and I want them,” she tells me sternly. This has been on her mind for some time.
“Okay,” I tell her. “We will talk with them tomorrow and with Sam’s family.” I rest my forehead against hers. I don’t want my mate anywhere near those that treated her poorly, but she is correct. This is her right. She has a right to those questions and answers.
She nods her head slightly. Ama doesn’t smile at her victory.
“Come on you two,” Mark sighs dramatically.
Ama breaks out of my grasp and starts to follow my younger brother. She gets a foot away before I snag her again. Ama turns to look at me questioningly. I instead crash my lips against hers. I pour my love for her through the bond.
When she breaks the kiss, I want to let out a whine. It was over too soon. She smiles up at me and gives me a peck on the lips.
Ama breaks out of my grasp again and runs towards Mark. She gives him a quick kiss befor
on towards home.

“We are lucky to have her, Zviad says as he watches out mate carry on towards home.
“That we are,’ I say simply.
