Chapter 104 Amalie
I hate my body, it’s official. I absolutely feel like death warmed over. I want toy down and die. My whole–body aches, Calyx had me jogging and speed walking the entire two hours. When I thought I couldn’t go any further, Cal continued to push me.
I slump into a chair at the table at 7:00 a.m. Cal sets a ss in front of me, and I don’t move. My arms even hurt, even though I did nothing with them.
“Drink something,” Uncle Mike chuckles at my plight.
“I’m to tired,” I mumble in defeat. “How does anyone train for hours?”
“Well, we all start out younger,” Upcle Will says with augh.
“I’m young.” I say with no heat.
“Yes, you are, but you were not able to exercise yourself or your wolf,” Uncle Will points out. “You have a lot of ground to make up if you want to get to where others your age are.”
“Drinking water and staying hydrated helps,” Cal chuckles as he ces a kiss on my forehead.
“Taskmaster,” I grumble as I finally pick up my water. I take a deep drink before setting it down.
“Good, now you may eat,” he says as he ces a te in front of me.
It has scrambled eggs and some toast on it. Then there is a small bowl of yogurt on the side.
“Where is Rose?” I ask as I look around for my daughter. I pick up my fork and start to eat.
“She is spending time with Vickie this morning,” Uncle Mike says.
“Vickie stopped by?” I ask, hoping to talk to the female.
‘She’s out back with Jimmy, watching over Rose for the morning,” Uncle Will tells me.
I nod my head. She is still here. I will talk with her after I am done. I try to eat more quickly now.
“Slow down love,” Cal says.
“I just want to go talk with Vickie,” I tell him.
“I know, but you don’t have to rush. I’m sure that she is going to stay to hang out with you,” Cal
assures me.
I nod my head in understanding. I take more measured bites as I control my pace. Once done, I look

expectantly at my mate.
He chuckles at me.
“She’s on the back porch,” Uncle Will says.
I nod my head and then go outside. I leave my te on the table
“Wow, good job,” Vickie says excitedly.
“Big bubble,” Rose giggles.
I walk out the door to see Rose and Vickie blowing bubbles. Jimmy has a smile on his face as he scans the area.
“Mommy!” Rose yells as she sees me. She waves around the bubble wand, flinging more soap than
bubbles.
“Hi sweetheart,” I say with a smile as I descend the stairs.
“We blow bubbles,” she tells me excitedly.
“I see. Did you blow a big one?” I ask as I sit on the grass next to Vickie. The grass is slightly damp from dew as the sun has only been up over the horizon for a short time.
“No, Auntie blew big one,” she tells me with a smile as she points towards a bubble floating in the
air.
“That is a big bubble,” I say as I see the bubble she points to.
*How
are you doing?” Vickie asks before she blows into the bubble wand. A stream of bubbles goes flowing forth.
“I’ve been better. I’m d that you came by, just wasn’t expecting you to be here this early,” I tell
her.
“Well, I promised you that I would start your training. But I was an hour </bte to start. You and Calyx had already left,” she tells me as she blows another stream of bubbles.
Rose lets out a giggle as she takes off after the bubbles.
“After yesterday, I wanted to start training with my twins so I can be ready for the next rogue attack,” I tell her.
She nods her head in understanding. “What sort of training did they start you out on?” Vickie asks curiously.

“Running, Cal had me run for thest two hours,” I say miserably.
“Well, it’s a start,” she chuckles.
“Mommy, where you go?” Rose asks as shees back.
“I and Papa had to go run this morning,” I tell.
“Wolfs run?” Rose asks curiously. She has asked for years to be able to ride on Beren’s back when we would go for a num.
‘No, Beren and Zviad did not go for a run. Papa had me running forever,” I say as I snag Rose. I then
tickle her stomach.
“How are you feeling? I heard about you being kidnapped and I wanted to check on you,” she says.
“Um, I’m good. To be honest, I’m more worried about the brother and sister rogues we brought back.” I tell her.
“The sister is James’s mate, right?” Vickie asks for rification.
“Yeah, she got stabbed trying to defend me from Mathew,” I say as I set Rose in myp. She looks up at me with wide, confused eyes. “James was talking about rejecting her.”
Vickie nods her head in understanding.
“Do you agree with him?” I ask, a little bit harsher than I intended to.
“I understand where he ising from. The pack has suffered a lot of changes recently. Losing its former Alpha, even if he was a bas-” she starts before she cuts herself off. She looks down at Rose. “Even if he
was a jerk. We lost our Gamma couple and then Delta turned out to be a monster. So much has happened in such a short time. James is thinking about how the pack will see it. Most will reject her as the Beta female just because she is a rogue.”
“What if she was forced to be a rogue?” I ask.
“Unfortunately, a rogue is still viewed as a rogue, no matter the reason why they became a rogue,”
she sighs.
“It’s not right,” I growl.
“No, it’s not. But people can be very narrow minded,” Vickie agrees.
