Chapter 102 Amalie
“Love, dinner’s ready,” Cal says as he wakes me up.
“What?” I ask in confusion as I look around. Where is Francesca and the rest of the Coven? I’m confused at what is going on. The dream fades around the edges, bing less sharp and focused.
“Uncle Mike says that dinner is ready,” Mark says as he pulls Rose from my arms. She lets out a whine as she wakes up.
I look at Rose, confusion must
Show on my face.
“Are you okay?” Cal asks men written across his face and in his tone.
“Yeah, I’m okay,” I try to assure them as I get my bearings. “I just had a really weird dream.” I start
to get up.
I follow the twins out of my room. I walk behind them in a daze, my mind reeling from my dream. It
was just a dream, right?
The dream felt so life like. I look down at my clothes, half expecting to be wearing the beautiful blue dress. I look at the walls. I don’t know if I am disappointed that I do not see life like trees or relieved that I see scratches in the paint of the hall from the attack earlier. Maybe it’s a little bit of both.
We sit at the table, and Rose climbs into myp. One of my mates set a te in front of us. I can’t focus on who it was. Rose happily starts to pick up the pieces of pizza and pop them into her mouth. I robotically pick up a small piece of pizza and put it in my mouth.
‘Where were you?‘ Beren asks in confusion.
‘What do you mean? I ask, just as confused.
‘While we are sleeping, I can always find you. But this time, when I searched for you, your conscious mind was missing,‘ she tells me.
“I don’t know what to tell you,” I tell her. I don’t know why I am not sharing the dream. Beren and I tell each other everything. It sort of happens when you share a body, both sides of the same coin and all that. But now, something in the back of my mind tells me to keep the dreams secret.
‘Okay, my nerves are just shot after the attack today,‘ she sighs. I can hear how tired she is.
“Did you get any rest though? I ask as I pop anther bite into my mouth.
‘Some, before I started to search for you. I was hoping to talk with you,‘ she tells me.
I feel guilty for not telling her about the dream. “Do you ever have a dream so life like that you

question if it is real?‘ I ask.
“There have been a few times where I dream that I have met the Moon Goddess herself. But once I wake up, the conversations that we had, start to slip away, she says.
“You never told me that before, I say in surprise.
It is not umon for wolves to converse with the goddess herself, Beren admits.
“I don’t remember learning that, I tell her..
“Love?” Cal asks me, bringing me out of my conversation with my wolf.
“Sorry, I was talking with Beren,” I tell him. I eat thest of the pieces on Rose’s te.
“Is everything okay?” Uncle Will asks as he sets down his cup.
“Yes, she was telling me about how she has been able to talk to the Moon Goddess herself,” I sigh. I pick up my sses of water and take a sip. I look up as the table goes silent for too long. “What?” I ask in confusion.
“Darling, what do you mean that Beren is able to talk with the goddess?” Mark asks, shock is written across his face.
“Just that, she told me that she has had a few conversations with the goddess,” I say as I look around the table. The twins and their uncles are looking at me in shock. Rose has be silent as she picks up on the tension.
“Ama, you do remember learning about the goddess in school?” Cal asks me gently.
I bristle slightly at the insinuation. “I remember, I’m not stupid,” I growl.
“No one is saying that,” Uncle Mike cuts in quickly. “I have long since studied about the goddess and wolf history. The goddess maye to a wolf, but it’s usually once and in times of need. I have never heard of the goddess visiting, regrly, to a wolf.”
“Are you thinking that it is because she is a White Wolf?” Cal asks.
“I do not know. I will have to look into it,” Uncle Mike says as he looks deep in thought.
“What do you mean?” I ask in confusion.
“White Wolves are rare and are said to have a connection to the goddess,” Uncle Mike says. “I will look into more lore and stories about White Wolves. I will see what I can find out.”
I nod my head. ‘Did you know any of this?‘ I ask Beren.

‘No, but I knew that we were special to the goddess, I just assumed that it was because the goddes created every wolf with a purpose, she says honestly.
