Chapter 83 Amalie
tames smirks at me as he and Nick open the double doors, i take one more deep breath. I stand tall and muster up confidence that I know I don’t have. Beren floods me with her confidence.
This is what we were born for, Beren tells me confidently. She is basking in the attention.
1 take a step forward and then another. I stare at my mates. They both look handsome in their matching suits. Rose looks adorable in her pale blue dress.
I’m halfway through the sea of people, my people, when I hear Rose. “Mommy,” she screams at me happily. I stop in my tracks and wait for her. She runs into my arms. I scoop her up and hold her tightly, I take in her scent. She is perfect as I snuggle her. I then ce her on my hip.
I continue on my way towards my mates. Mark’s mouth is hanging wide open. Cal isn’t much better. I step onto the tform. Cal captures my lips first. If I didn’t have Rose in my arms, I would have had them wrapped around Cal’s neck. All too soon, Cal breaks the kiss. Before I can protest, Mark swoops in and captures my lips.
I feel someone take Rose from my grasp. I’m about to turn to look, but Mark deepens the kiss. Since Rose did not protest, I assume that it was Cal who took her.
When we finally break the kiss, the room irrupts into cheers. I smile as I look up at Mark. He ces one more kiss on my lips before I turn to look at my pack. My friends, wow, that’s a novel thought, friends. My friends are cheering wildly and loudly. I spot Gretchen and she is cheering just as loudly. I then spot Uncle Mike and Will. It’s a nice feeling to know that I have family who are here and love me.
All too soon, people are trying to rush the stage, questions on their lips. Cal let’s out a little of his aura and the
questions stop.
“Yes, this is Amalie, the eldest of the Remington children,” Cal starts.
“No, she did not run away,” Mark interjects.
“We will address all your questions at ater pack meeting,” Cal says.
“Tonight, is about celebrating your Luna,” Mark finishes. The pair reel in their aura.
I’m in awe of the way the two seamlessly are able to trade off and on in the conversation. The way they are able to finish each other’s sentences, leaves me reeling.
“Whose pup is that?” someone demands. The voice is female. If I had to guess, it was one of the she wolves who thought that they had the chance to be the twins‘ chosen mate.
“She is my daughter,” I speak confidently. I’m proud of Rose, I won’t hide. I have nothing to be ashamed of for loving my pup.
“Alpha, you will take a pup that is not yours as you heir?” a brave male asks.
“That’s not her pup, that is Melissa’s pup,” an older voice shouts at me.

“‘% an honor to see you again, Lama,” a woman says as she pushes her way through the crowd.
“She’s one of our elders, Allison,” Cal murmurs into my est.
“Elder Allivan,” I say with fake confidence. Well, you know what they say, fake it till you make it. I stick out my other hand that is free. The elder takes it and shakes my hand. She soon disappears into the crowd. Others now are introducing themselves to me, again. Cal and Mark whisper to me different names of pack members that are important
Most names go in one car and out the other. I keep trying to make eye contact with Vickie or Gretchen, or anyone that I know. I want to talk with one of them. It would be a nice break from fake pleasantries. I finally catch Vickie’s eyes. She gives me a smirk before she was ducking out of sight. I so wish I could mind link, I would be yelling at her right now.
I bite back a sigh as Mark whispers another name into my ear. Another elder, another wolf who tells me how much they missed me, another story of how much they wished they could have done more.
“Alright! Let’s let the Luna party!” Vickie shouts as she pushes her way to the front of the crowd. She mounts the stage and hands me a ss of something.
There are grumbles and res thrown our way. But I don’t care at the moment.
“Shoo,” Vickie orders as she uses her hands to make a shooing motion.
“Let us know if you need us,” Mark says as he ces a kiss on my lips.
“Stay within sight,” Cal growls as he ces a kiss on my lips next. He then takes Rose from my arms. Rose snuggles into his arms and watches the party.
“I won’t leave her side,” Vickie says with a mock salute. She then pulls me from the stage. “Come on, your grandmother has been waiting to see you,” sheughs as she downs her drink.
“I’ve been trying to catch her eye all hight to be able to talk with her,” I sigh.
“Well, she wanted you to shine,” Vickie says as she navigates the crowd with ease. She keeps a firm grip on my arm, so I am not left behind when people try to stop me to talk to me.
“You look so beautiful,” Gretchen says as I finally find her at the front of the room.
“Thank you,” I reply as 1 slip my arm from Vickie’s grasp. I wrap Gretchen in a hug. She hugs me back, just as
