Guard 6`1

    Chapter 61 Amalie

Oh, fuck no! They don’t get to get away with this shit. I thrash against Cal and Zviad’s hold. I’m going to rip Sam’s parents apart. Then I’m going to take my time ripping Molly apart. She is going to die very slowly, very painfully. Whoever said females and Luna’s had to soft and weak, hadn’t met very many she wolves. We are just as blood thirsty as the males. We might even be more if it means protecting our pups and the ones we love.

Okay, so I and Beren may need some training first before we start ripping people apart. We have only shifted a handful of times. Not one of those times had we actually practiced fighting. Beren and I might be all bark and no bite, but we are going to change that very soon.

‘I say we make the twins train us as soon as we are done here,‘ Beren growls.

‘Agreed,‘ I agree with her. I give Cal onest good thrash, before I slump in resignation. I look up at Cal and notice his eyes have zed over. He’s mind linking someone.

Jimmy and Vickie enter, followed by another male that looks like an older version of James. Cal’s eyes are also still ck, showing that Zviad has pushed forward again.

“I am only going to ask this once,” Zviad growls, “did anyone know about my father keeping Ama captive by her parents?” His alpha aura andmand leak out, pelling everyone in the room to answer if they knew the answer to his question.

I figure he is asking James’s father because he was Mathew’s Beta. If anyone had to know about me being locked up, it would be the former Alpha’s Beta. The one that answers is not one of the three that enter.

Jarrett is the one who growls and then answers, “I knew. We talked about making Molly your chosen mate, even if you did not approve.” Jarrett continues to growl and struggle to throw off themand. His eyes sh ck, showing that his wolf is fighting themand.

Calyx may be young, but he is powerful. Hismand stays in ce and keeps Jarrett fromshing out. It also helps, that Markus is there too. His own Alpha aura leaking out.

“How dare you!” I scream in anger. I am back to thrashing against Cal’s hold. “You do not get to choose a mate for someone else! The goddess pairs people up for a reason!”

“It is our right to take a chosen mate if the mate they are given is unfit. Just like you!” Jarrett growls at me. James and his father seem to try to step forward to subdue the former Gamma.

The world seems to narrow around me as I focus on Jarrett. “So, you think you are wiser than our goddess? The goddess that created our race? Who knew we needed a perfect match and took time to create that match? You have no right to question my judgement!” Something inside of me snaps. I force myself from Calyx’s grasp as if he had his arms wrapped loosely around me. I wrap my hands around Jarrett’s neck. The weight of me mming into. him, forces the both of us onto the ground.

I ignore the shouts and gasps from everyone in the room. Beren and I’s rage is overtaken by something stronger and more primal than we could ever imagine. Cal and Mark take a step towards me. I look up and growl at the pair. They freeze in their tracks. My focus narrows until it is focused back on Jarrett. It is like it is just the pair of

    us in the room.

    Chapter 61 Amalie

“I have created every pair in existence with a n,” I growl back at the upstart Gamma. He has long since

deviated from the path I nned for him. “Your former mate, was your perfect match. She would have kept you on the path to being the one of the best Gammas in this pack’s history, But no, you got greedy. You wanted power and so you took a chosen mate that was not fit to stand at your side.

“I created werewolves, but unfortunately you all have free will. That means there are poor choices made. You and the former Alpha never should have had my blessing to lead this pack,” the primal rageshes out. “This is my judgement upon you. Gamma Jarrett you are stripped of your title. You will forever be a rogue. Your descendants will never have a fated mate. They will never know the joys of finding a fated mate. They will roam this Earth for all of eternity, alone.”

With those words, my world goes ck. Beren and I are floating again in nothingness. Again, I’m hit with the fact that time means nothing here in this void. I hate it. Last time, I lost two weeks.

‘What in the name of the goddess was that?‘ I demand Beren. I’m confused, scared, and running a little bit on a high from the power I felt. Goddess, I have never felt that strength before. It was kinda intoxicating, I want to feel that power again. But at the same time, I want nothing to do with that power.

‘I don’t know. I have never felt that presences before,‘ Beren answers. ‘But it felt natural, forting, like it is a part of us.‘

‘Beren, I think we referred to ourselves as the goddess,‘ I tell my wolf.

‘You did special one,‘ the voice from the rage spoke up. The rage was gone, left in its ce was a soothing presence. ‘You are my white wolf.‘

‘What does that mean?‘ I demand.

‘It means I have picked you,‘ the voice answers before it leaves uspletely.
