Chapter 75 First’s threat
While she was learning, Fourth called.
Scarlett Adler put the call on speaker.
“Scarlett, what time is it? Why aren’t you back yet?”
“Forgot to tell you, don’t wait for me for dinner. I’m discussing some work outside, might bete.”
“Where are you?”
“Hodges Family Group.” Because she was acting like a big shot, Scarlett replied without much thought.
Fourth was silent for a moment, then responded, “I understand, Scarlett. Then you take care of your work.”
“Okay.”
After hanging up, Ethan Underwood looked at Scarlett. “Your sister is really cute.”
Scarlett still didn’t take it seriously. It wasn’t just him who misunderstood their rtionship. It was their fault
for always calling her Scarlett, Scarlett.
“Rocket.” As Scarlett yed a card, the three of them were dumbfounded.
Although Scarlett didn’t know how to y at first, she learned quickly.
In no time, she crushed them.
Ethan looked at her. “Ms. Adler, you call that not knowing how to y? You’re lying to us, right?”
“Indeed, it’s my first time ying,” Scarlett Adler said sincerely.
Ethan Underwood watched, feeling helpless.
Brent Carter could only sigh, “Good thing we didn’t bet any money, or our wallets would be empty tonight.”
East Hayes also touched his wallet, secretly relieved.
“One more round,” Ethan Underwood insisted, refusing to believe his luck.
Just as they were getting into the game, the door opened, and the assistant manager finally arrived, fashionablyte.
Originally, he wanted to follow Tiana Young’s instructions and give them a hard time, but he was surprised by
the scene that greeted him.
“You-”
Scarlett Adler tossed the cards to Ethan Underwood and turned to the assistant manager, saying, “You’ve finally arrived. If you hadn’te, we were about to head out for ate-night snack.”
“What’s with your attitude?” the assistant manager asked, displeased.

“What’s with our attitude? We’ve been waiting for you for over half an hour. Isn’t that sincere enough?” Scarlett Adler said, checking the time. “To be exact, it’s been forty-five minutes.”
The assistant manager frowned.
“What do you suggest? Should we start now, reschedule for another day, or should I speak directly with Tiana Young or Hugo Hodges?” Scarlett Adler asked.
Upon hearing this, the person immediately said, “Since this matter has been handed over to me, it’s my responsibility. Let’s get started.” He walked over and sat down.
Scarlett gave them a look, and everyone else sat down to begin the discussion.
Realizing that Scarlett was not someone to be trifled with, the vice president, despite wanting to make things difficult, found himself countered at every turn and was left helpless.
And so, time slowly passed.
“Brother, do you know why Scarlett hasn’te back sote?” At home, Fourth asked First and Second with a
grin.
“Why?”
“Scarlett is at Hodges Family Group, Uncle’spany,” Fourth said.
As soon as she finished speaking, First and Second both looked over. “How do you know?”
“I called Scarlett, and she told me.”
“Scarlett didn’t hold back?” Second asked.
Fourth shook her head. “Scarlett doesn’t know that we know about Uncle, so she spoke very naturally.”
First thought for a moment and reluctantly said, “Workingte like this, it’s definitely not a good thing.”
“Oh, don’t think like that. Maybe Mr. Hodges wants to create an opportunity to be alone with Scarlett?”
“No, I need to call Scarlett back,” First said, reaching for his phone.
Fourth immediately stopped him. “Have you forgotten our agreement? We’re not allowed to interfere.”
First looked at Fourth, thought for a moment, and then got up to return to his room.
“Brother.”
“I’m not calling. I’m going back to my room to go online,” First replied.
Fourth then released him. “Brother, you have to keep your word.”
First didn’t say anything, just went into his room.
Fourth sat happily on the sofa, imagining that one day Scarlett Adler and Hugo Hodges could be together.
Maybe the oue wouldn’t be as bad as they thought!

Thinking about it, he was still full of anticipation.
Inside the room.
First opened hisputer and entered a chat room through a ck interface.
There were only a few people in the chat room, and Kun wasn’t online. First felt inexplicably annoyed.
Just as he was about to log off, someone in the group called out to him, “First is actually online!”

“Speak of the devil, and he shall appear. He’s back,” Star Chaser announced.
“He’s back?” Hearing this, First perked up. “Where is he?”
“Logging in now.”

Sure enough, it wasn’t long before Kun’s avatar lit up. “Heard someone was looking for me? Who misses me?”
“No one misses you. I need something. What’s the result?”
“What result?” Kun countered.
“What do you mean, ‘what result’? The thing I mailed you, the DNA test result you were supposed to do for
me,” First nearly shouted.
Hearing this, Kun had a sudden realization. “Oh, that. The result should have been out a while ago. It’s in my
email. Let me check.”
“Damn it, if I had known, I would have hacked your email and found it myself,” First said.
Kun replied, “I suggest you speak more politely. My email is not that easy to hack. Do I not have any dignity?”
Although he knew First was capable of it.
First didn’t bother arguing with him, feeling anxious as he waited.
“What’s the result?” First urged.
Silence on the other end.
“Kun?”
“Are you gonna talk or what?!”
“Hello?”
First was always on the verge of exploding.
“Coming, I just went to grab a drink of water.”
First was speechless.
He swore that one day, he would make him pay!
“The results?” First asked.
“Wanna take a guess?” Quinn asked.
“Guess my foot, just tell me!”
Quinn couldn’t help butugh, having never seen First so explosive. “Building the suspense to the max, isn’t it exciting?”
“Exciting, huh? Okay, let me give you some excitement too.” First was too annoyed to waste words. His fingers flew across the keyboard, and lines of code and English letters shed across the screen.

Soon, Quinn realized something was wrong. “Damn, what are you doing?”
“Are you trying to block my ount?” Quinn was dumbfounded.
“Did I hack my email?”
“You don’t have an email!” First said.
“Not in the email, it’s on paper,” Quinn said, betweenughter and tears.

“I’m giving you one more chance. If you don’t tell me, I don’t know what I might do. Maybe I’ll identally leak your location…” First threatened.
Quinn sighed, “Alright, alright, you win. I’ll take a picture and send it to you. See for yourself.”
Only then did First’s anger subside a little.
Soon, the photos were sent over, and as the image slowly zoomed in, First looked at the English text and
went straight to the result at the bottom.
“Results of the parentage test: 99%.”
Seeing this line, First was immediately stunned.
