They weren’t the type to jump to conclusions over something trivial.
Aurora couldn’t help butin, “I originally came to talk with Joseph, to ask what exactly he was trying to do.
“But then he refused to cooperate and insisted on pushing his luck, so he can’t me me for not being polite.”
At the mention of Joseph’s name, Desmond perked up instantly.
So that unrecognizable face on the floor belonged to Joseph?
The guy who’d cost him three months of wages–his enemy was right in front of him!
Thinking that, Desmond almost wanted to apud in his heart.
Well done!
Scumbags who took advantage of others deserved to be beaten like that.
Why bother being nice?
Lucas reached out and rubbed Aurora’s head, smiling. “It’s fine. Do whatever you want. I’ll cover you no matter what.
“Besides, from what you just said, it was clearly his fault.”
Aurora smiled sweetly. “I think so too. I didn’t do anything wrong.

Lucas nodded in full agreement.
Desmond watched from the side, stunned by how calm they were.
Were these two demons or something?
How could they talk about something so outrageous with suchposure?
He silently muttered to himself–if they weren’t from the same world, they wouldn’t have ended up together.
The two of them really were a perfect match.
“Mr. Carter, what should we do with Joseph now?”
Desmond finally asked aloud.
He usually posed as Lucas‘ assistant in public and called him ‘Mr. Carter.‘
As for Aurora, she didn’t seem surprised at all upon hearing it.
She’d known from the beginning that Lucas came from a well–off family.
She only had a general idea of what his family business was–she’d never asked for details.
As long as life stayed peaceful andfortable, Aurora didn’t care to ask for more.
But there would always be some clowns who liked to stir up trouble in front of her and when that happened, there was no helping it.
“Send him to the hospital. Make sure he’s still breathing.”
Lucas looked down at the unconscious Joseph with clear disdain.
Still clinging to his petty schemes.
The Hunt Enterprises really had too much time on their handstely.
That old man actually raised a son like this–useless and reckless.
No wonder thepany was heading straight for disaster.
After receiving the order, Desmond quickly arranged for someone to drag Joseph out.
As for the security footage, everything was already handled with precision–Lucas didn’t even need to lift a finger.
Later, Lucas and Aurora returned home together.
When they reached the living room,
Aurora hesitated before asking, a little embarrassed, “Um, Lucas, do you think I’m too violent?
“I mean… just now… and you saw all of it.”
She didn’t finish her sentence, but they both knew exactly what she meant.
Lucas looked at her, caught off guard by this hesitant, uncertain side of her.
After all, he had never seen Aurora like this before.
With him, she had always been straightforward, decisive, even ruthless when she needed to be.
Never once had she looked this unsure, this concerned about how she came across.
It didn’t take him long to figure it out.
She must really care about how she appeared in front of him.
