Chapter 761

Once they arrived, Grace stepped out of the car and walked toward the auditorium in her high heels. Tessa had attended this school before, so she was somewhat familiar with theyout. Thinking of that made Grace feel even more guilty.

She couldn’t believe it was because of Tessa that she had such a clear impression of this school. And what about Aurora? Where had she ced Aurora in her heart all this time… Unconsciously, Grace tightened her grip on her handbag, her guilt growing heavier by the second. Seeing her like this made Arnold feel uneasy as well.

After all, the fact that she could now recognize her own mistakes was already a step forward. Arnold hoped she truly understood what she had done wrong and wasn’t just taking it lightly. Only then could she genuinely start treating Aurora better.

Ever since her husband passed away, Aurora had lived far too lonely a life, pletely on her own.

If it hadn’t been for Megan, she would’ve had no one at all.

Back then, Grace had eyes only for Tessa. No one else mattered.

Thinking of that, Arnold couldn’t help but feel that Aurora didn’t deserve to be treated so poorly.

But Grace had no time to worry about what Arnold thought

Her mind was filled with thoughts of Aurora.

It wasn’t that she didn’t love Aurora–she just didn’t know how, especially after so many years, it had be a habit.

She had grown used to giving all her care to Tessa, letting Aurora fend for herself.

But thinking about it now, that approach had truly been wrong.

Everyone knew the two girls were her daughters. Was it right to treat them so differently?

    Was that really eptable?

Grace clenched her fists. When she reached the auditorium and saw the crowd gathered around, her heart sank.

The building she remembered was now reduced to rubble, its former glorypletely gone.

But she distinctly remembered it hadn’t looked like this before.

Arnold stared at the heartbreaking scene, his heart sinking heavily, nearly losing his footing.

Still, he forced himself to stay steady.

Grace was still here–he couldn’t be the first to fall apart.

If anything happened, at least he could be of help.

    Arnold knew his role well.

Grace looked at the ruins in front of her, trying hard to hold it in, but her eyes still turned red.

Her gaze swept across the crowd and locked onto the principal.

She strode toward him with an overwhelming presence.

The principal had just been ring at John, ming him for embarrassing him in front of so many people.

Once this matter was over, he had already decided to fire that useless man.

He had made up his mind long ago.

    But John didn’t care.

He was still focused on detecting signs of life beneath the rubble.

He had always liked this student and truly didn’t want to give up.

Aurora was still so young. How could her life just end like this?

She still had so many possibilities ahead.

Meanwhile, the principal had been so fixated on John that he didn’t notice what was happening behind him.

By the time he realized, Grace was already standing there.

“Mr. Fang, how did my daughter end up buried underneath this? You’d better give me a proper exnation.” Grace’s voice was cold and threatening as she leaned in beside his ear.
