“Wait” Prisci suddenly spoke.
Wesley turned around in surprise, only to meet her indifferent face. “Prisci.”
“Give me my phone.” She reached out expressionlessly
Wesley pressed his lips together and handed the phone back to her.
Prisci took it without sparing him another nce.
Wesley stood there for half a minute and then quietly left the room.
Prisci turned on her phone, and countless messages popped up. causing it to freeze for several minutes before returning to normal.
She deleted them with one click but only replied to Eldridge.
Eldridge called immediately. “Are you alright?”
Prisci asked quietly, “You mentioned before that you could introduce a really good divorcewyer to me Can you send me his contact information?”
Eldridge was silent for two seconds before asking, “Are you sure?”
“Yeah.”
Prisci lowered her eyes and her longshes cast shadows on her checks.

As for whether Wesley would agree, it would depend on thewyers abilities.
“Alright, I’ll send it to you.” Eldridge sent over a business card on WhatsApp.
“His surname is Wilkinson and he’s currently abroad but he’ll be back soon.” Eldridge introduced thewyer. “You can tell him about your situation.”
Prisci hesitated. “If he knows the divorce is with Wesley, will he take the case?”
Lawyers in Aetherton would usually refuse as soon as they heard Wesley’s name.
Thewyer who had previously drafted the divorce agreement had even deleted her contact information.
She didn’t want to waste any more time or energy.
Eldridge reassured her. “He’s handled many high–profile divorce cases. I’ll help you too. Don’t worry.”
Prisci felt relieved, added thewyer on WhatsApp, and waited for his approval.
Prisci spent the whole night leaning over the bedside.
The next morning, she was awakened by a strange sensation on her face.
Bonnie gently stroked her cheek with pity: “Ci.”
Prisci instantly became fully awake and all her exhaustion was reced by joy.
“Grandma, you’re finally awake”
Her eyes turned red as she gripped Bonnie’s hand tightly, refusing to let go.
“I made you worry.” Tears shimmered in Bonnie’s cloudy eyes.
She recalled the words she had overheard yesterday, and a wave of grief washed over her heart.
Ci had been pregnant, but the child was gone…
As a grandmother, she hadn’t known it.
Prisci’s face was pale, she could no longer hide it, so she simply told the truth about the child.
Because her pregnancy was unstable, the doctor had specifically warned her to be careful. So when she first found out, she didn’t dare to tell Bonnie, fearing that the olddy would be disappointed.
Later, when Larissa returned, she and Wesley often quarreled. Several times, she was so upset that her stomach hurt, so she became even more reluctant to say anything.
And then, after the ident, there was no need to say anything at all.
“How did you lose the baby?” Bonnie asked in a trembling voice.
Tears shimmered in Prisci’s eyes as she forced herself to suppress her grief. “It was raining and the road was slippery. I wasn’t careful and fell.”
She didn’t want to speak of those dirty matters and make Bonnie even sadder.
Bonnie’s heart ached as she patted her granddaughter’s hand. “It’s my
fault for dragging you into this. If it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t have agreed to marry Wesley.”
She had heard everything ude said.
She had thought Prisci and Wesley were in love, but it turned out that Wesley still liked Larissa.
In this ill–fated rtionship, Prisci waspletely innocent.
“Grandma, I don’t regret.” Prisci tried tofort her, but the more she spoke, the more her tears fell continuously.
She didn’t want Bonnie to be sad for her; so she quickly got up and went to the bathroom. “I’ll go to wash my face.”
Bonnie let out a heavy sigh.
While Prisci was washing her face, Dillon and his wife arrived with Larissa.
She really didn’t want to see them, so she stopped by the door and didn’t go out.
Bonnie was furious.
“When Ci was born, you didn’t care and left her to me. When she grew up, you schemed about her marriage, using my name to force her. Now that her marriage is stable, you let Larissa torment her. Do you really think I’m dead?”
“Now I just want Larissa to live in the countryside with me for a while, and youin that she can’t handle it. Oh, is she made of gold?”
“Mom, please don’t get angry.” Dillon hurried to calm her down, just hoping Bonnie would lower her voice so others wouldn’t hear.
It was a bit embarrassing.
