Larissa had already stood up. She hastily stepped aside to create some distance between her and Wesley and said, “Prisci, hey, you’re back.”
The rest of the Wilburn family looked bewildered, as if they couldn’t figure out why Prisci was here.
ude said sarcastically, the dislike in his eyes undisguised, “Gosh, Prisci. You’re such a control freak. Larissa can’t even sit next to Wes?”
Staring at him, Prisci said icily, her face expressionless, “I’ve never said anything from the moment I arrived.”
Larissa acted all flustered, looking as if she wanted to distance herself from Wesley. What did that have anything to do with her?
“You’ve picked on Larissa so much. That’s why she’s so terrified of you,” ude snorted coldly. “In case you forget, you didn’t even get to marry Wes if not for her.”
Prisci’s gaze swept over Tania, who remained sitting on the sofa.
Utterly pissed off, she let out a derisiveugh.
She said while looking at them sarcastically. “She ran away from the wedding. And you’re ming me for it?
“Did I choose to marry Wesley?”
Larissa’s eyes reddened at once as she apologized, her voice trembling. “I’m so sorry, Prisci. I was so selfish and willful back then, yet you ended up the one who paid the price. I’m truly sorry.”
“Enough already, Prisci. Just shut up.” Wesley hissed. Then he strode toward her and said to her, “We’ve been mar- ried for three years. What’s the point of bringing this up now?”
ude said with disdain, “You’ve got what you wanted, so just stop ying the victim, OK? You sicken me, Priscil-.”
Wesley and the Wilburn family’s favoritism toward Larissa wasn’t news to Prisci. But still, their usations en- raged her.
She had genuinely thought she could spend the rest of her life with Wesley.
Larissa sat so close to him, and ude’s barb was so outrageous. But Wesley didn’t stand up for her at all. Instead, he told her to shut up when she defended herself.
Could he be any more biased?
She stared at the aggrieved look on Larissa’s face coldly. “I don’t give a damn how long you’ve been friends with Wesley. He’s my husband. Know your damn ce and stay away from him.”

She was basically calling Larissa a homewrecker.
Larissa clutched her mouth, her shoulders trembling as she sobbed.
“Prisci! Larissa’s your sister. How could you talk to her like this?” Tania sprang from the sofa and held Larissa’s hand, her eyes filled with distress. “Don’t cry, Larissa.”
“Prisci,” ude bellowed, his expression darkening. “Enough with your nasty thoughts! Larissa and Wes have been friends for years. If anything were gonna happen between them, they would have been together already. Do you really think you get to be his wife?”
Prisci scorned, “Larissa dumped him on me, didn’t she?”
Dead silence filled the living room at once.
Even Larissa stopped sobbing. Everyone instinctively turned to look at Wesley.
It was the truth, but no one had ever dared to bring it up.
But today, Prisci dragged the elephant into the center of the room, tearing open his festering wound before them all.
Furious, ude wanted to say something more when Bonnie’s voice rang out.
“Is Ci back?”
Her aged voice was filled with affection.
Prisci immediately left the living room.
“I’ll go with you.” Wesley strode over and held her hand.
Prisci pulled her hand back, sneering, “No need. Stay here and be with your close friend. I wouldn’t want to keep you from her.”
In fact, she wanted to ask him-was his so-called “urgent matter” being with Larissa?
But after much hesitation, she kept it to herself.
She knew the answer. Why would she humiliate herself?
Wesley insisted, “I’ll go with you.”
The sneer on her face vanished. After the earlier drama, he really didn’t have to act like they were a couple in love.
