Chapter 65 We’re a Legitimate Business
Chapter 65 We’re a Legitimate Business
Zane didn’t know what to answer, for he was a perfectly straight guy!
He had no idea what nonsense Jonathan was up to.
If strange rumors spread after tonight, it would all be Jonathan’s fault.
Zane felt wronged, but he could only sigh in exasperation.
“I like whatever he likes.”
The manager turned his gaze to Jonathan again.

Faced with a man whose looks and build surpassed even the biggest celebrities, he was stumped.
Even a Greek god wouldn’t be good enough for him.
What was he supposed to do? Bring in a mirror?
Fortunately for him, Jonathan didn’t seem interested in the escorts.
Instead, he asked, “Do we have to order male escorts here?”
“Well, not exactly…”
“Did all the female patrons tonight order male escorts?”
The manager answered honestly, “Yes, most of them have. After all, peoplee here to have fun.”
He wasn’t sure if he’d said anything wrong, but suddenly, the atmosphere seemed chilly.
“And how exactly do these escorts entertain their guests?”
“They’d have a few drinks, talk, sing, dance, y card games…”
The atmosphere became even more tense.
“Keep going”
“They’d give out massages, a foot rub…”

“And?”
The man’s oppressive gaze made the manager’s knees buckle.
If he said another word, the whole club might not survive the night.
He gulped, waving his hands quickly.
“That’s all, Mr. Fullbuster! We’re a legitimate business!”
Zane caught onto something.

“Oh, I get it! You offer special services at a premium price, and it sounds like you have a private
for that.”

Jonathan’s expression darkened.
Immediately, he stood up and strode toward the exit.
The manager hurried after him.
Having worked at Velour for so long, he was sharp and experienced.
He’d seen his fair share of mening in to catch cheating partners before.
But he could tell Jonathan wasn’t here to fool around.
He was on a mission to catch a cheater, cause trouble, and maybe even trash the ce.
Whoever dared cheat on Jonathan Fullbuster must be blind.
Meanwhile, Jonathan had already left the private room.
He nced at the manager, about to question him, when a somewhat familiar woman came rushing over in a panic.
“My friend is missing! Where did you take her?”
She continued, “If anything happens to her, I’ll burn this ce down with my bare hands!”
The manager had dealt with troublemakers many times.
He was about to brush her off and signal security to remove her when Jonathan’s deep voice
sounded.

“Are you talking about Anneliese?”
Jessica turned and recognized him instantly.
She hurriedly nodded.
“Yes! It’s Anne. She told me she was going to the bathroom but never came back.

“I’ve been looking around for her, but all I found was this. Something must have happened to her!”
In her hand was a broken phone.
Jonathan recognized the case immediately–there was no doubt it belonged to Anneliese.
He red at the manager.
“Find her!” He barked coldly.
The manager’s face went pale.
This was bad. If Jonathan’s woman got into trouble at Velour, it would be the worst crisis of his
career.
Inside the private room, Zane watched as Jonathan left.
Drama was nothing new to him, yet he was dumbfounded by this.
“No way! Is he really here to catch a cheater? Since when did he have a woman? Am I dreaming, or simply too jetgged?”
Carter shrugged helplessly.
Both turned to Joel, who looked equally stunned.
Was that actually Mrs. Shaw?
Though they had suspected Jonathan might have a thing for married women, it was only a suspicion.
Surely he wasn’t this desperate,
He waved his hand. “Don’t look at me. I didn’t set him up!”
Zane got up and chased after him.

But as soon as he stepped out, he saw Jonathan leading the manager down the corridor toward the end.
Zane grabbed the woman trying to follow them.
“What’s happening? Where are they going?”
It was none other than Jessica.
Jessica hadn’t expected Jonathan to take matters into his own hands.
Before she coulde around, the manager had already followed him timidly.
She tried to go after them, but someone grabbed her just then.
Seeing the manager leave with Jonathan, she spun around, annoyed, and swung her hand.
“Let go, or I’ll beat you up!”
