Although Sabrina was already married, Romina could sense that Sabrina still had feelings for Joaquin, and she was also the one Joaquin cared about.
No matter what, she couldn’t let Sabrina find out she was here.
The next second, the man pushed her behind the door, then opened the main door.
From the outside, she shouldn’t be visible, but this sudden action still made Romina’s back stiffen.
She stood frozen behind the door, not daring to move an inch.
After Joaquin walked out, he left the lounge door half open, not closing itpletely.
Romina instinctively nced through the crack in the door, catching sight of Joaquin walking toward the sofa, while Sabrina held a lunchbox in her hand.
“Why are you here?”
Joaquin nced at Sabrina in front of him, then sat down on the sofa.
Sabrina nced toward the lounge, but eventually walked over to the sofa and sat down across from him.
“I just happened to be passing by, so I brought you a lunchbox.” Sabrina curiously pointed toward the lounge. “It’s still morning. Why did youe out of the lounge?”
“I workedtest night and didn’t get enough rest.”
The man’s tone was indifferent as he took out a cigarette and lit it.
Sabrina nodded thoughtfully, then handed him the lunchbox. “Now that you’ve rested, eat the lunch I made! I spent an hour making it, and it’s all your favorite dishes.”
Joaquin exhaled a puff of smoke and said calmly, “You’ve been away from Thalberg for so long. Doesn’t your husband urge you to go back?”
“I’m already going through divorce procedures with him. I’ll get the certificate by the end of this month.”

The man’s brows furrowed slightly for a moment. “Isn’t that Thalberg football yer pretty good to you? Why are you getting divorced?”
Sabrina suddenly stood up and walked over to Joaquin.
She sat down beside him. “Joaquin, you know the reason I married him in the first ce–it was just to spite you. Especially these past two years of marriage, all I could think about was you. And since you still haven’t gotten married, that’s why I resolutely decided to divorce him…”
The woman’s hand was already caressing his chest, her fingers wandering restlessly.
Joaquin nced down at her, his gaze darkening for a moment.
Sabrina’s feelings for him had long ceased to be a secret.
She had once used extreme measures to force Joaquin to be with her, but only ended up infuriating him, causing their rtionship to enter a period of stalemate.
Later, he heard the news that she had gotten married…
He hadn’t expected that even after getting married, she still wouldn’t give up.

The sound of a door closing suddenly shattered the atmosphere.
Sabrina’s hand, which had been resting on the man’s chest, froze instinctively as she looked warily toward the lounge door.
Joaquin followed her gaze.
The lounge door had been closed from the inside.
“Joaquin, is there someone in your lounge?”
Sabrina immediately stood up, intending to walk over.
But Joaquin was a step ahead of her, blocking her way. “No one. It was probably just the wind.”
Sabrina saw his calm expression and nodded thoughtfully. “Is that so?”
“I have other things to do. You should go back first!”

Joaquin bent down and stubbed out his cigarette.
Seeing the man’s slightly displeased expression, Sabrina finally nodded. “Alright.”
It wasn’t until Sabrina closed the main door that Joaquin opened the lounge door.
Romina was sitting alone on the sofa by the window, her back to him, lost in thought.
The man quickly approached, cing his hands on either side of the sofa back, lowering his gaze to look at her profile. “Did you do that on purpose just now?”
Romina instinctively swallowed, turning her head slightly to nce at the man behind her, feigning ignorance. “Do what on purpose?”
She had actually been eavesdropping on their conversation the whole time. When she heard that Sabrina was going to get a divorce for her sake, she suddenly felt shocked, her legs inexplicably weak. She identally bumped into the door, which caused it to close unintentionally.
Joaquin extended his slender, well–defined hand and, in an instant, gripped her chin, forcing her to turn her face toward him.
His tone was cold and indifferent: “Are you asking when you already know the answer?” The man’s lips were almost pressed against hers, making her heart race once again. Romina instinctively swallowed and said, “Mr. Bowman, isn’t Ms. Palmer’s divorce exactly what you want?”
Joaquin’s brows furrowed slightly as he gazed at her in silence, not responding.
Romina quickly broke free from his grasp, turned her face forward, and then stood up.
The man straightened up as well, his eyes cold and indifferent as he watched her.
