Nadine quickly withdrew her hand and stood up from the pavilion.
Romina and Jericho were not yet fully divorced, so at best, Nadine could only be considered a mistress who couldn’t be seen in public.
Perhaps not even a mistress.
After all, Jericho had never openly admitted to any rtionship with her.
“What nonsense are you spouting?” The man’s face darkened as he nced in Kashton’s direction, then quickly turned back to Romina. “Since you know the child is here, how dare you talk like that.”
“I’m talking nonsense?” Romina strode toward them. “Do you even realize what you’re doing?”
J
“Ms. Sandoval, are you jealous? But Jericho and I really weren’t doing anything…”
There was a hint of grievance in Nadine’s tone.
“Oh? So unless I catch you two in bed, it doesn’t count as doing anything?”
Romina deliberately lowered her voice, her eyes filled with indifference.
“Romina! Watch your mouth!”
Jericho’s expression suddenly turned icy cold.
Romina’s lips curled into a cold, thin smile, the chill in her eyes deepening.
“Mom! Don’t bully Nadi and Dad!”
At that moment, a childish voice suddenly interrupted their conversation.
Romina looked up at the sound and saw her son had run over without her noticing.
After reaching them, he quickly stood in front of Jericho and Nadine, spreading his small hands and looking up at Romina with a serious expression.
The wariness in his eyes caught Romina’s gaze, and the pressure around her seemed to drop instantly.
If it weren’t for the child, she wouldn’t have cared even if they kissed right in front of her!

Romina ignored them and turned to walk straight toward the main entrance of the vi.
“Dad, is Mom trying to bully Nadi again?”
Her son’s questioning voice came from behind.
Romina didn’t even pause her steps.
Out of sight, out of mind.
When she reached the living room, Hayden was sitting inside watching the news.
Seeing Romina arrive, he grinned from ear to ear. “I knew you’de back today.”
Romina gave a faint, calm smile. “Grandpa, how have you been feelingtely? Has your shortness of breath improved?”
“It’s gotten much better.”
Hayden nodded with a smile, his face full of kindness.
Romina reached out to check Hayden’s pulse. “Let me take your pulse and see.”
“Alright.”
During the pulse diagnosis, Hayden said lightly, “Stay for dinner tonight! Jericho and Kash are here, and Joaquin will probably be back soon. It’s been a long time since everyone gathered together.”
When Romina heard that Joaquin would being back, her eyshes fluttered slightly.
But as soon as she thought of Nadine being here, Romina decisively refused. “No need, Grandpa. My friend is already cooking at home, so I’ll head back soon.”
“It’s rare for you toe by. Just listen to Grandpa and stay!”
Romina looked up and met Hayden’s gaze. Unable to refuse his warm invitation, she finally nodded. “Alright.”
Romina gave Hayden two body point physical therapy treatments. When she finished, dinner was not yet ready, so she decided to go out for some fresh air.
As she reached the entrance, she saw a familiar figure standing at the end of the corridor.
Nadine was on the phone. She happened to turn around, and her eyes met Romina’s.
Seeing Nadine hang up, Romina quickly walked over and stopped right in front of her.

“Ms. Sandoval.”
Without Jericho by her side, Nadine’s expression was less gentle and more contemptuous.
“I’ve been wanting to talk to you, but I didn’t expect to run into you here.”
Romina’s tone was calm, her face showing little emotion.
“What does Ms. Sandoval want with me?” Nadine’s voice was cold. “Given the rtionship between us, I don’t think we’re close enough to seek each other out, are we?”
Romina didn’t bother with small talk and got straight to the point. “Were you the one who instructed Valery to sabotage my wellness clinic?”
After the words fell, a trace of disbelief appeared on Nadine’s face.
Even though it shed by in an instant, Romina still caught it.
“What nonsense are you talking about?”
Nadine frowned slightly, looking at her in a state of confusion.
“Stop pretending,” Romina lowered her voice and said, “That troublemaker admitted on the spot under Mr. Joaquin’s assistant’s interrogation that it was all Valery’s doing. Didn’t Valery tell you about this?”
“Why would she tell me?” Nadine’s expression suddenly darkened. “This is a grudge between you and her. What does it have to do with me?”
Upon hearing her words, Romina suddenly let out a cold, sharpugh.
As expected, Nadine simply refused to admit it.
It was almost exactly as she had anticipated.
Romina spoke nonchntly, “What kind of grudge could there be between Ms. Murray and me? At most, I didn’t rent her father’s house, or perhaps I didn’t treat her illness…”
