G1140 VIVIan’s return-
Chapter 140 Vivian’s return
Renee wandered aimlessly on the street, engulfed by the impact of Naomi’s recent actions and words.
The umted pain evolved into a state of depression, a heavy burden on her chest, impeding her breathing.
Abruptly, Renee yearned to be with Marcelo.
Retrieving her phone, she scrolled to his contact.
Renee hesitated over her decision to call him.
She feared she might interrupt his work.
Feeling down and not wanting to go home, she chose to visit Venus Bar instead.
Realizing it had been a while since she saw Sarah, she rang her to see if Sarah would like to meet at Venus Bar.
“Sure, I’ll be there soon.“Sarah’s voice sounded tired and troubled as though she had gone through a tough time.
An hour passed.
The door to the private room swung open.
“Sarah, I…“Renee stopped mid–sentence when she saw the tall man entering alongside Sarah.
He stood tall, his features fine, radiating an innate sense of pride. Even though he attempted to blend in, his presence couldn’t be ignored.
His poised demeanor was apanied by his beautiful and captivating eyes.
Marvin’s look was a wless match for how people described him: elegant, ruthless, low–key, and noble.
These qualities captured his look, his approach, his style, and his essence.
It was Renee’s first encounter with a sober and upright Marvin, and she found herself giving him a second nce – not due to his looks, but his actions… He was quietly holding onto Sarah’s sleeve.
It was akin to a dog faithfully tailing its master.
This action seemed out of character for him.
Something seemed off about him.
Sarah, ignoring the hand on her sleeve, let out a sigh and settled onto the sofa.
“Well… Is he out of his mind?“Renee whispered softly.
Sarah, looking numb and hopeless, responded, “What do you think?”
Before Renee could say anything, she felt a piercing stare.
That stare came from Marvin, a clear warning.
Renee was lost for words.
Sarah nced at Marvin, and he instantly gave her an using look.
“He can hear perfectly and knows when you say he’s lost his mind Sarah whispered to Renee, th hand on her sleeve. “Don’t be upset. Renee is a friend; she even helped you once.”
rned to gently touch the
Marvin looked at Renee with an expression that said, “I don’t recognize you.”
Yet, influenced by Sarah’sment, he hesitantly decided not to hold a grudge against Renee and held onto Sarah’s hand more firmly.
Renee was dumbfounded. She felt like her understanding of the world was being questioned.
Was this the cunning and deep Marvin of the Hill family?
Sarah let out a sigh and reached for a cocktail on the coffee table.
Arge hand stopped her.
“Drinking alcohol isn’t wise,” Marvin stated seriously, gripping Sarah’s hand to stop her from drinking.
Sarah, not in the mood to argue with Marvin, asked, “What should drink then?”
“Milk. It’s healthy.”
“Well, I’ll just settle for water.“Sarah, who hated milk, </bpromised.
Marvin nodded and went to the door, asking the waiter outside for warm water.
Renee felt a strange feeling and whispered, “Sarah, are you actually listening to him?”
Sarah responded with exhaustion, “He’s stubborn. If I don’t y along, he might keep arguing about it till tomorrow.‘
Sarah began telling Renee about the recent events.
After leaving the hospital, Marvin had memory problems and developed a strange obsession on Sarah, only wanting to follow her. Feeling indebted to him for saving her life, Sarah reluctantly agreed to let Marvin temporarily stay in her apartment for his recovery.
Sarah had hoped that Marvin would recover his normal state in a few days, but to no avail.
“Is he…really like this?” Renee gestured towards her head and quietly asked Sarah, “He is still aware that drinking alcohol is harmful?”
Sarah nodded. “He’s perfectly capable when ites to work and outsmarting his family. His mind is sharp in those moments.‘
Renee was surprised.
It appeared absurd.
Sarah had thought Marvin might be acting and had watched him carefully, yet she found no inconsistencies.
Most importantly, she couldn’t imagine any rational exnation for Marvin to pretend to be foolish and remain at her side.
Marvin, seated nearby, showed his displeasure with Sarah chatting with Renee and ignoring him.
Just as Sarah was about to inquire from Renee, who appeared to be in a sour mood, about the reason of her call, Marvin unexpectedly interjected, saying, “Your man is outside.”
Renee and Sarah were confused.
Marvin looked at his phone and informed Renee, “Marcelo is in the lobby.”
This update came from one of his men.
Because Marvin was at Venus Bar, his men made sure to share any useful information with him to keep him safe.
However, they hadn’t anticipated this particr piece of information being put to use in this man
“Marcelo?” Renee was taken aback.
She had thought he was tied up with work, yet here he was at Venus Bar?
Chapter 140 Vivian’s return
As Renee wondered why Marcelo might be here, Marvin suggested “Shouldn’t you go check?”
His tone clearly meant, “You better go and leave Sarah to me.”
“I’ll go take a look,” Renee said to Sarah.
Marvin was very pleased with this.
The annoying woman was finally leaving!
Once Rence had left, Sarah turned to Marvin with a serious expression.
“Marvin, what are you up to?” From her recent encounters with ligi, Sarah didn’t believe that Marvin was the type who would willingly share information about Renee’s husband’s whereabouts Marvin stared at the ceiling, acting as if he couldn’t hear.
“Marvin, I know you heard me!” Sarah insisted.
He leaned against her shoulder, his eyes closed. “I’m tired.”
His message was clear: Stop talking. I want to rest.
How shameless!
Sarah felt a mix of frustration and helplessness.
Was it even possible to reason with someone whose mind wasn’t all there?
“When will you be normal again?” She contemted pushing his head off her shoulder. Marvin strongly contested Sarah’s im. “My mind is perfectly fine.”
Sarah rolled her eyes. Those with abnormal minds often insist on their normalcy.

Renee made her way from the private room to the lobby.
She quickly noticed a familiar silhouette.
There was Marcelo, seated in a booth, surrounded by a few individuals, some of whom she recognized – Damian and Jason.
And the woman in white next to him was…none other than Vivian!
