Since Shane wasing, Ariel eventually decided to follow Jayson to his apartment after giving it some thought.
Jayson keyed in the password for the door with Ariel standing beside him. They were the same numbers she had
seen him use to unlock the door of their marital home.
As soon as she stepped inside, Ariel noticed the apartment looked like an exact copy of her own. The decorations were practically identical–the floors, curtains, ornaments, and even the furniture.
It felt as if she had just walked back into her own ce. She wondered if her eyes were ying tricks on her.
“When did you prepare all this?” she asked as Jayson bent down and took a pair of slippers from the shoe rack. They were the same brand and design she usually wore..
He crouched down and ced them by her feet, then looked up at her. “Are you going to make me pay copyright fees for copying your apartment’s interior design?”
Ariel shot back, “You can just transfer the money to my bank ount right away.”
Jayson could have done exactly that without asking first.
He stood up and walked inside. “Alright. I’ll send you the receipt after I make the transfer. Do you mind adding
my WhatsApp number so I can do that?”
Ariel fell silent.
The amusing part was that she and Jayson hadn’t re–added each other on WhatsApp ever since she deleted his
contact details.
She knew he wasn’t being serious. He was only teasing her. <fnbe95> The rightful source is find{n}ovel</fnbe95>
After entering the apartment, Ariel was about to find a ce to sit when she turned around and noticed a
cupboard identical to the one she had at home. Several photos were disyed on it.
One of them was of her and Jayson sitting side by side, looking rather stiff. Neither of them appeared
particrly happy or excited.
Back then, Ariel had assumed Jayson was upset since he hadn’t smiled at all that day. But now, looking again,
she could see a faint trace of contentment in his eyes.

Typically, a wedding photo taken at the city hall after a marriage registration wouldn’t be disyed.
Among the other photos, Ariel recognized one that Betty had insisted on takingst year so she could send it to
Marie.
Jayson had originally intended to send that photo to Ariel, but she had already blocked and deleted his WhatsApp contact.
However, a call from Nancy had dyed Jayson from sending the photo immediately, so he failed to notice that Ariel had removed him from her WhatsApp contact list.
Ariel had assumed he simply didn’t want photos of them together, since they had taken so few.
But now<b>, </b>when she looked at it again, she noticed Jayson’s head and body leaning slightly toward her as he stood beside her, gazing at the camera. Subconsciously, he had been expressing a desire to be closer to her.
A lot could be gleaned from bodynguage.
Still, the Ariel back then hadn’t dared overthink it. She ignored such details to avoid embarrassing herself.
She let out a deep sigh.
Noticing her gaze, Jayson poured her a ss of water. “Don’t overthink it.”
Ariel stiffened slightly and looked at him. Was he saying she shouldn’t read too much into it now, since things
were different?
Jayson met her eyes, easily guessing her thoughts. “Don’t overthink it. I didn’t put those photos there to show
Grandma or anyone else.”
Ariel remained silent. She understood what he was trying to say.
The doorbell rang just then. Jayson went to answer it.
Shane looked surprised as he stepped in. “Are you two trying out themoners‘ lifestyle? Why stay in an
apartment like this when you own a luxurious manor?”
Neither Ariel nor Jayson offered an exnation.
Shane set the cooler box of fresh crabs on the table, pretending nothing had happened and that they were a close–knit family.
“Jayson, you should steam a few of these crabs for Ariter.”

Ariel stood up. “Thanks, Shane.”
“It’s nothing,” Shane replied, then turned to Jayson. “Can we talk for a bit?”
He gestured toward a quiet corner.
Jayson said tly, “You can say it here. I share pretty much everything with Ari.”
Shane grinned. “That’s right. No one knows better than me that you only have eyes for her.”
