Chapter 375

Ka’s period was early again, and just likest month, she bled so heavily that she passed out. By the time Landon arrived, emergency treatment was

    over.

Ka was lying there, looking so frail. One couldn’t tell if she was sleeping or had fainted again.

    “Ka…” Landon asked worriedly.

“She’s okay now,” Tuff said, tears welling up in his eyes.

‘This monthly nightmare of heavy bleeding is just too frightening. Who would have a period so bad and have to wear adult diapers?‘ he thought.

“Tuff, don’t worry,” Amelia said, holding Kimsey in her arms, and hesitated.

Last night, she and Landon discussed again to figure out ways to treat Ka, but before they could even take action, Ka had copsed again.

“How can I stop worrying? This happens every month, and it’s exhausting her!” Tuff said, his heart aching. ‘If only I could take her pain, he thought.

Maggie suddenly blurted out, “Or… just have it removed?”

“What?” Tuff responded, heart racing. “Remove? What do you mean?”

“Her womb,” Maggie sighed and said. “No periods, no more suffering for her.”

Amelia’s expression changed drastically. “No! Absolutely not!” she said.

“Amelia, I know how much you worry about your sister, but isn’t she suffering even more like this?” Maggie said. “As her mother–inw, I’vee to terms with it. I won’t pressure her to have children for the Prescott family anymore.”

“Ka’s illness can be cured,” Landon said, tightening his fists at his sides.

He knew all too well what it meant for a woman to lose her womb. In particr, his wife already had a child.

‘It’s not just about taking away her ability to have children; it’ll cause her age prematurely,’ he thought.

“Sigh, you all talk it over. I’m just suggesting,” Maggie said. She sat there for a while, then got up and left.

However, Tuff had taken Maggie’s suggestion to heart. ‘If it means my honey won’t suffer anymore, nothing else matters to me,‘ he thought.

    “Landon…” Tuff sounded heavy.

“No!” Landon cut him off, firmly against it.

He shot Amelia a look and then forcibly dragged Tuff away. “Let’s talk outside,” he said.

As the door to the hospital room clicked shut, Amelia quickly looked around the surroundings to make sure no cameras were around.

After confirming there was no camera, she said to Kimsey, “Kimi, your aunt isn’t feeling well. Can you help heal her?”

Kimsey babbled, nodding eagerly as if he understood Amelia. Amelia put Kimsey down next to Ka and gently guided his tiny hand to rest on Ka’s belly.

‘Kimsey usually heals external injuries by touching them. Perhaps it works for internal injuries, too?‘ Amelia wondered.

    Since Kimsey couldn’t talk y

yet, Amelia could only guess and hope that it would work. Kimsey just kept patting Ka’s belly as if it were a toy, goofing around like he was ying a game with Amelia.

Amelia felt a wave of anxiety wash over her. ‘Is this going to work?‘ she wondered.

“Coo, coo…” Kimsey babbled indistinctly, sounding like a cuckoo during nting season.

Amelia grinned, just about to tease her son, when one of Ka’s eyes suddenly opened. “Amy?” Ka whispered.

“Ka, you’re awake!” Amelia eximed, her voice filled with excitement.

“Am I in the hospital?” Ka murmured, ncing around the room, and smiled bitterly.

“Ka…” Amelia choked up as she called out.

“Coo, coo…” Kimsey scrambled forward on both hands and feet toward Ka’s chest. He was a chubby little bundle, like a perfect cherub, so adorable

that he could melt anyone’s heart.

Ka smiled and grabbed his chubby little hand. “Kimsey, did youe to y with me?” she asked.

“Ka, is your belly still in pain?” Amelia asked nervously.

Ka had been so caught up with her chubby nephew that she only realized after Amelia’s reminder that her belly didn’t hurt anymore, and the bleeding seemed to have stopped.

‘Did the medicine really work so well today? What did they put in the drip?‘ Ka wondered, looking up at the drip.

“Ka, are you feeling better now?” Amelia asked anxiously.

“Yeah, it doesn’t hurt anymore, and the heavy bleeding finally stopped,” Ka replied.

“Thank goodness… Thank goodness…” Amelia wiped away her tears, her voice trembling with emotion.

Ka was stunned. “Amy, what’s the matter with you?” she asked.

“Ka, try sitting up and see if you can feel any difference,” Amelia said, holding Kimsey up in her arms.

Ka wasn’t sure what Amelia was getting at, but she did as she was told and sat up. She wasn’t in pain, and there was no more bleeding.

‘Could it be that my illness is gone? That’s why Amy’s so excited?‘ Ka wondered.

“Ka, try getting up and walking a few steps,” Amelia urged.

“Alright,” Ka responded and got out of bed, expecting to feel dizzy. However, to her surprise, she feltpletely fine. There wasn’t any dizziness at all.

As she walked around, there wasn’t any heavy bleeding. ‘Oh my God! Someone’s eased my condition. Is it Morgan?‘ Ka wondered in disbelief.

“Ka, can you hold Kimsey?” Amelia blurted out, quickly shoving her son into Ka’s arms.

Amelia was so flustered that Ka had to scramble to catch Kimsey. “Amy, the matter with you?” she asked and nearly dropped Kimsey.

“Ka, Kimsey has a healing technique. He healed you,” Amelia whispered, excitement all over her tear–stained face.

Ka was shocked andpletely speechless. “Ka, we’ve just found out recently that Kimsey has a special ability,” Amelia said.

“Oh my God, my baby boy is incredible!” Ka eximed, pletely in awe. She held Kimsey and kept kissing him,

Kimsey giggled happily, letting out a few happy coos as he squirmed in her arms. “Kimsey, luckily we have you…” Ka said, her voice trembling with emotion, and she burst into tears.

God knew how down she had been ever since she returned from Dreicean. She never cared about what outsiders said, but Tuff’s attitude just made her feel even worse.

She wanted to have children for him so he wouldn’t let the Prescott family down. The tougher she acted in front of others, the more she broke down

    when she was alone.

‘Now that Kimsey’s healed my illness, I can finally have children for Tuff,‘ she thought.

“Coo, coo!” Kimsey cooed. Praised by everyone, kimsey got so excited he spat out a little drool, giggling with delight.

“Ka, Landon just sent Tuff out for a bit,” Amelia said.

“I get what you mean. I won’t say a word to him,” Ka said, her voice full of emotion as she gently pinched Kimsey’s chubby cheeks. “If anyone ever finds out about Kimsey’s special ability, it could cause trouble.”

    “Absolutely!” Amelia nodded repeatedly.

Ka, remembering that Amelia also had a special ability, looked at her in surprise and asked, “Amy, is this something Kimsey inherited from you? Is it in your genes?”

“Uh… I don’t think so,” Amelia replied nervously, a hint of panic in her voice.

Her special ability was unremarkable; she could hear Landon’s thoughts. However, it was still a special ability.

“You guys should have another baby!” Ka teased with augh. “Then you’ll know if it’s in the genes or if you just hit the jackpot.”

Amelia gave an awkward smile and said, “Landon says Kimsey’s all we need.”

“No way! The more kids, the merrier! When they grow up, they’ll have someone to talk things over with–just like me and Landon…” Ka said, still hooked up to the drip, already giving Amelia a piece of her mind.

Amelia couldn’t help butugh. “Ka, how about you worry about yourself first!”

“I’ll definitely have more kids, at least two more!” Ka said confidently, her eyes sparkling with determination.

‘If I give Tuff two more kids, that’ll make three in total. Every holiday, I receive three sets of gifts. Ka couldn’t help butugh at the thought.

Amelia couldn’t help butugh and shake her head. “Go for it. I’ll go call Tuff over,” she said.

Tuff had been so worried about Ka that he nearly lost his mind. But when he walked in and saw her sitting up, chatting away happily like nothing had happened, he was stunned.

    “Honey? You…” Tuff stammered.

“Today’s treatment works well. I feel so much better thanst time,” Ka said, shing Tuff a reassuring smile.

Seeing Tuff’s eyes swollen from worry just made her even more determined to give him the family he had always dreamed of.

Amelia and Landon exchanged nces; they spoke without words. Landon finally felt a sense of relief.

“The drip is the same asst time,” Tuff said, still not quite convinced. “Honey, are you sure you’re feeling better?”

“Absolutely!” Ka said, hoisting Kimsey high up. “Look, I’ve got my strength back!”

Tuff hurriedly held Kimsey and handed him right back to Amelia, shooting her a look that practically said, “Why did you let your sister hold the baby right

    now?‘

Then, feeling a little guilty, he sneaked a nce at Landon and thought, ‘Crap, I just scolded Amelia without thinking. Landon’s going to get mad at me!

“We’re heading home now. Tuff, take care of Ka,” Amelia said, not upset at all, and the family of three left smiling

‘Landon didn’t blow up?” Tuff thought to himself, blinking in disbelief. ‘Is this a dream world?‘ he wondered.
