Chapter 1844

    Chapter 1844:

She pulled back slightly and sat up, taking his face in both hands. A slow, teasing smile spread across her lips. “Are you… a little bit jealous?” she asked.

Dn’s mouth softened as he tilted his head forward, resting his brow gently against Christina’s. “Yeah, I’m jealous,” he muttered, with just a trace of a boyish sulk. “I need you to spoil me a little.”

His candid admission pulled a bright, unrestrainedugh from her.

She framed his face in her hands and pressed a quick string of kisses across it, then leaned back with a yful look. “Better now?”

“A bit,” Dn answered, a grin threatening to break through despite himself.

    “Still craving more?” Christina prodded.

“Yes,” he murmured, his voice dropping into something low and dangerously warm. “I want more.”

Christina covered him in kisses until he seemed entirely satisfied.

“You didn’t let him inside the Dawson estate, did you?” she asked.

    ???????????е ??оm??????? ??n ????????о????l?.??????

“No. He tried to force his way in, but the security team turned him away — and gave him something to remember it by,” Dn replied, a sly smile lifting the corner of his mouth.

“When did that happen? Why didn’t you tell me during our video call?” Christina pressed, catching the flicker of quiet satisfaction in his expression at the thought of Brendon being roughed up.

Dn’s grin faded slightly. He looked at her with wounded, almost pleading eyes, a trace of envy surfacing despite himself. “You’re worried about him.”

“No, I’m not. Why would I be worried about him? I haven’t lost my mind.” Christina looped her arms around his neck and pressed another slow kiss to his lips.

Relief settled over Dn’s features. “Good.”

“Anyway — is the matter with Vickie resolved?” she asked.

Dn’s brow drew together, irritation crossing his face. “Everything’s settled. My family has cut off all contact with her.”

“What exactly happened? Did she really try something with you?” Christina asked, her fingers drifting idly across his chest.

“She failed, didn’t she?” she added, her touch growing more deliberate.

Dn caught her wandering hands and bent to graze her earlobe with a teasing nip.

“Stop that. Don’t push me past my limit,” he warned, his voice low and strained with restraint.

A flush rose to Christina’s cheeks. Her smile softened, and so did her voice. “You still haven’t answered me.”

“She didn’t get anywhere. I only yed along so my grandmother could see her true colors — and so my family could cut her out of our lives for good,” Dn said, his expression turning serious.

“Is that so?” Christina replied, a spark of mischief lighting her eyes.

Dn drew her onto hisp and tilted his head just enough to hold her gaze.

“Care to confirm it yourself?” he taunted, something wicked flickering at the edge of his smile.

“Alright,” Christina said, feigning boldness as she reached for his tie and toyed with it as though she intended to go further.
