Chapter 1807

    Chapter 1807:

He turned and left quickly, his brow furrowed with worry.

The moment he was inside his car, Alban grabbed his phone and called Gillian. It rang and rang with no answer. He tried a video call — still nothing. He typed out a message: “Are you busy?” No reply came. He sent another: “Please text me when you see this. I’m really worried about you.”

After hitting send, he told his driver to head to the Jones estate.

His arrangement with Christina was still ongoing, which meant he couldn’t simply walk through the front gates. When the car pulled up outside, he didn’t even open the door — he just sat and waited.

An hour passed. Still nothing from Gillian.

    ?????????????? ??оve???? ???? ??????n????????s.??о??

His unease was sharpening into something closer to rm. After deliberating for a while, he decided to call Christina — but her phone went straight to voicemail. He tried Bain instead.

It took some time, but Bain eventually picked up.

“What do you want?” Bain’s voice was t and cold.

“Can you help me reach Gillian?” Alban asked, cutting straight to it.

“Why on earth would I help you?”

Their families may have ended their open conflict, but the tension between the two men had never eased. Alban shifted his approach. “She’s not answering her phone.”

“Come up with a better excuse than that. Only an idiot would fall for it,” Bain snapped.

“I’m not making it up. If you don’t believe me, call her yourself and see,” Alban said, his tone leaving no room for doubt.

Something in his voice gave Bain pause. He hung up without another word.

Alban had managed to prompt him into action, but it brought him no relief — only a deeper, colder dread. If even Bain couldn’t locate them, it meant something had very likely gone wrong.

A few minutester, Bain called back.

“My sister’s phone is dead, and Gillian isn’t answering either. My family says they left a long time ago.” His voice had lost its edge, reced by barely concealed panic. “I think they’re in danger. We need to split up and search.”

“Alright,” Alban said, his expression hardening with urgency.

He ended the call and began searching for answers immediately. He knew Bain loved Christina too much to joke about her being in danger, and the knot of dread tightening in his chest told him this was very real. His expression turned cold and focused. He suspected the Hewitt or Wade family was behind it. If either of them had made a move against the women, they had forfeited any right to expect mercy. He had originally nned to show some restraint toward the Hewitts — that n was rapidly dissolving.

Alban and Bain arrived at a quiet stretch on the outskirts of the city, their cars pulling over and stopping at almost the same spot. When they stepped out, they found Christina’s car sitting there alone, pletely still.

There were no cameras in the area — no footage, no trail.

“I’ll have my man break the window and pull the car’s internal recording,” Bain said, his brow deeply furrowed.
