Chapter 1602

    ?Chapter 1602:

If Christina ever fell into the hands of someone this unstable, her life would be doomed.

That fleeting thought gave Vickie a cruel flicker of satisfaction. But it vanished as quickly as it came, swallowed by another surge of envy—because a man like him would kill without hesitation… and he would do it for Christina.

“I’ll give you one day to think it over,” Terrence said. “If you still refuse, be ready to watch your entire life crumble to dust.”

He didn’t waste another second dragging it out. Sliding the gun back into its holster, he turned to leave—his steps unhurried, his demeanor coldlyposed.

Vickie exhaled shakily, releasing the breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding. Her tense shoulders ckened, her nerves unraveling inch by inch. It felt like surviving the aftermath of a disaster by sheer luck.

Just as her heartbeat began to steady, his footsteps stopped. She froze mid-breath, every muscle locking tight again.

Terrence didn’t look back. Without sparing her even a nce, he spoke, his voice low and sharp. “Oh, and don’t even think about getting rid of that baby. It’s your only ticket into the Scott family. I’ve had leverage on you for a long time. Even if you terminate the pregnancy, it won’t wash away your sins.”

His words hit her like ice—cutting, final, and merciless. He fully intended to use the child growing inside her, and he would never let her get rid of it.

After delivering his threat, Terrence slid his hands casually into his pockets and walked out, his tall frame disappearing through the door.

Only when he was gone did Vickie finally dare to breathe again. Her knees gave out, and she copsed onto the sofa. Trembling, she dragged in several ragged breaths, her chest heaving.

    He had actually threatened her.

A dark fury coiled within her—she wanted to kill him, to erase that smug face from existence. But shecked the confidence to pull it off.

She didn’t even know who he truly was. And if she failed to take him down in one strike, a man that ruthless would make her pay in blood.

Her mind flickered back to Dn—to the moment he had risked his life for Christina.

She didn’t know what had happened between them or what had torn them apart.

But one thing was certain: Dn had once been willing to die for her. It wasn’t just a rumor—Chloe had said it herself. And after their fallout, even Elliott and Robin had sided with Christina—defying Dn and the entire Scott family for her sake.

Others, too—powerful men from all walks of life—had publicly stood in Christina’s corner.

Christina seemed to receive everything effortlessly, without ever lifting a finger, while Vickie had schemed, pleaded, and fought—and still couldn’t win even a flicker of warmth from Dn.

Why did fortune always favor Christina? Why did every man with power or status orbit around her as if blinded?

Christina was nothing but a discarded orphan, a woman once tossed aside—how could she everpare to Vickie?

Rage, jealousy, hatred, resentment—they all fused inside her, twisting together until her eyes gleamed with a glint of lethal resolve.

They all wanted to protect Christina, didn’t they?
