Chapter 1592

    ?Chapter 1592:

Two monthster, Christina settled Bethel into the Cloudcrest Estate.

It was the safest sanctuary she could provide, a ce the Dawson family would never dare to approach.

After Bethel transferred the shares to them, a formal severance agreement was signed, cutting all ties permanently. Breaking away was the only condition for receiving the shares, and the family had agreed without hesitation.

Christina didn’t care whether their hearts had truly hardened or if they were simply plotting to take the shares now and crawl backter. She had no intention of ever giving them the chance.

“This… this is the Cloudcrest Estate?” Bethel’s voice trembled as she took in the magnificent surroundings.

“Yes,” Christina replied with a warm smile, her gaze softening as she spotted Dn walking toward them.

“You two didn’t break up?” Bethel asked, surprise flickering across her face.

“Yes.” Christina gave a small nod, her tone quieting. “There were rumors back then that he’d cklisted me across the industry, so we let people believe it and never corrected them.”

She lowered her head slightly. “Bethel, I’m sorry for lying to you.”

Bethel gently patted her hand and smiled. “No need to apologize, dear. I’m sure you had your reasons. As long as he treats you well, that’s all I care about.”

She had always feared Dn might one day hurt Christina—but seeing them now, that fear finally eased.

“I wouldn’t dare mistreat her,” Dn said with an easyugh, the fondness in his eyes impossible to miss.

Watching how he looked at Christina—as if she were the only thing that mattered—Bethel’s heart settledpletely. She hadn’t misjudged him. Dn was a man she could trust for a lifetime.

“Bethel, we’ve arranged a full medical team for you. They’ll be stationed here at Cloudcrest to take care of you,” Christina said softly.

Bethel smiled faintly. “That’s good. You two are thoughtful.”

She paused, then asked with a teasing gleam, “So, when are you getting married? I wish you can have your baby soon.”

Christina’s face turned crimson, her eyes darting away in embarrassment.

“Don’t worry, Bethel. Christina and I will have a baby soon—and you’ll be there to watch them grow,” Dn said, taking Christina’s hand. His voice carried quiet sincerity.

Bethel let out a gentleugh, her eyes crinkling with warmth. She wasn’t asking for much—age had taught her not to. Just living long enough to cradle a baby in her arms would be blessing enough. As for everything else, she would leave it to fate.

“Come, Bethel,” Christina said, smiling. “Let us show you around.”

“Alright,” Bethel agreed, feeling a lightness she hadn’t known in years.

Having finally set down her burdens, she felt her body and spirit loosen.

She no longer had the energy for the Dawson family’s turmoil—her heart had been shattered beyond repair.

She had spent her entire life worrying over them—now, it was time to enjoy whatever peace her remaining years might bring.
