Chapter 1509

    ?Chapter 1509:

“I was wrong! Truly wrong!” Bruno cried, his voice shaking. “Please, for my grandmother’s sake, have mercy! Don’t do this!”

Freddie looked down at them with eyes cold as stone. “Letting you live is mercy enough. If not for my sister, I’d have ended your line long ago. You’ve no one to me but yourselves.”

For the sake of his sister, Freddie had spent years trying to lift the Happer family up, only to be repaid with a betrayal that nearly cost his entire household their lives.

They had exhausted his patience, trampled his kindness, and shattered thest shred of goodwill he had left for them.

“Guards!” Freddiemanded, his voice cutting through the silence. “Break their legs.”

The Happers tried to fight back, but their struggle was futile. In less than a minute, the Hubbard family’s security guards had thempletely subdued.

“Uncle Freddie! Are you really going to be this cruel?” Eugene yelled, his voice rough with anger and desperation.

“Cruel? You have no right to use that word,” Freddie said with a cold, mockingugh. He made a sharp, dismissive gesture. “Break their legs, then send them directly back to the Happer estate. The police will be waiting for them upon arrival.”

“Yes, sir!” the guards responded in unison.

The Happer family members were dragged away. Soon, agonized screams ripped through the air before fading into a chilling silence.

The intense pain had rendered them unconscious. The Hubbards had meticulously gathered mountains of evidence detailing their illegal activities—evidence already en route to the police station. The Happers were about to face the full, heavy consequences of their crimes.

Freddie slumped back into his chair, looking as though the ordeal had aged him years in minutes.

He turned his gaze, now heavy with guilt and deep regret, toward his son and grandchildren. “I’m sorry,” he said, his voice thick with emotion. “I’m the one who nearly ruined everything for all of you.”

    ???????? ?????????????? ???? ??????????????????.??????

He knew that if he hadn’t constantly made excuses for the Happers, he would not havee so close to destroying the entire Hubbard legacy.

No one spoke immediately. Instead, they all looked to Vanessa. They understood that whatever decision she made, they would support it.

Meeting the expectant eyes of her husband and children, Vanessa sighed inwardly.

Freddie had always treated her well. Now that the threat had been handled swiftly and decisively, she saw no reason to hold onto her anger.

“You don’t need to me yourself like this,” Vanessa told him. “It wasn’t entirely your fault. What matters now is that from this moment on, we staypletely away from the Happer family for good.”

Freddie looked up, his eyes red-rimmed. “You… You really don’t me me for any of this?”

“It would be a lie to say I didn’t me you,” Vanessa admitted honestly. “After all, Eloise suffered so much because of them. But when you think about it, our family was incredibly fortunate. If we hadn’t met Christina, the oue would have been unthinkable.”

Just recalling how close they hade to disaster sent a genuine shiver down her spine.

Christina was, without a doubt, their family’s true savior. She was incredibly talented; it seemed there was nothing she couldn’t master if she set her mind to it.
