Chapter 1436

    ?Chapter 1436:

Robin looked as if he might jump out of his chair at any moment, nerves stretched thin. To make matters worse, every single Miller was on edge.

Things couldn’t keep going like this. If they did, the casino’s days were numbered.

    Christina’s eyes narrowed in thought.

Noah Newman? That was a new name—one she hadn’t heard whispered in any gambling circles. Maybe he was a prodigy who’d only just arrived on the scene.

For a lone gambler to take on the entire Miller establishment, whether with clever tricks or sheer nerve, meant he was a force to be reckoned with.

Sometimes skill wasn’t enough; what set yers apart was what happened in their heads.

Someone who lost their cool in the heat of a bet could be taken down in seconds.

“Hey! Christina, are you still there?” Robin’s voice was tight with worry. “Did you catch any of that?”

The silence on Christina’s end made Robin wonder if, for the first time, his unppable ally had been rattled.

He hadn’t meant to make Noah sound unbeatable, but even Christina’s pause had him second-guessing everything.

Was this Noah really that much of a threat?

“Yes. Where is he now?” Christina sounded perfectly calm, her voice betraying nothing.

“He’s already left for now. But he made it clear—if nobody steps up to face him tomorrow, we’ve got two choices. Either we go groveling before the cameras, admit in front of everyone that Apresh produces nothing but losers, or we close down every Miller casino in Kitaso for good. If we ever open again, we’d have to hang a sign out front: ‘The Losers’ Den.''” Robin sounded defeated.

The day’s losses had already spiraled into the billions.

If Noah showed up for another match tomorrow, there was a real chance Miller’s Casino would be wiped off the map in Kitaso.

There was no world where they’d admit defeat in front of everyone and im Apresh had nothing but failures. Apresh was packed with people who were anything but worthless.

    ???? ??????? ?? ?????????.???

“How arrogant he is.” Christina’sugh was cold, her words dripping with mockery.

“Please, just reach out to Epic for me,” Robin urged through the line. “Name your price—whatever you want, we’ll make it happen.”

“I’ll handle him myself tomorrow,” Christina said easily. “No payment needed. Just buy me dinner at Morfort Restaurant afterward.” Her tone was calm and steady—fearless, almost casual.

Someone had insulted her country. She wasn’t the type to look away.

People from Apresh were known for their fire. If visitors came with good intentions, they’d open their doors and share a drink with them. But if they came to challenge or insult them—they’d fight back, even if it meant dying on their feet.

“But…” Robin hesitated, his voice uncertain. He chose his words carefully, afraid to bruise Christina’s pride.

“Go ahead,” Christina said tly. “Say what you need to say.”

Robin drew in a slow breath. “Alright, don’t take this the wrong way. It’s not that I don’t believe in you, but… wouldn’t it be safer if we just asked Epic to do it?”

He tried to make it sound polite, but it was clear he doubted her skills.
