?Chapter 1364:
What none of the Jones brothers knew was that Bonnie had already fallen for a chef.
“Let’s see if Bonnie wants to eat in or go out,” Beth said, smiling as she held onto Hurley’s arm.
All eyes turned to Christina, waiting for her answer.
“Let’s go eat out tonight,” Christina suggested, catching the flicker of disappointment that crossed her brothers’ faces. She hurried to rify, “Hey, it’s not that I don’t love your cooking. You guys just got back, and you must be exhausted. I don’t want you wearing yourselves out right away. Let’s eat out tonight, and once you’ve had some rest, I’ll try your cooking tomorrow. Sounds good?”
The moment she said that, the Jones brothers’ faces lit up, their earlier gloom vanishing in an instant.
“Ha! I knew it! Bonnie would never turn her back on us. She’s too sweet for that,” Gerryughed, relief clear in his voice.
Bain jumped in eagerly, “Bonnie, tell me what you want to eat tomorrow. I’ll make it for you myself.”
Jordy cut in before Bain could say more. “Then I’m calling dibs on lunch!”
Bain didn’t back down. “Fine, then I’ll handle dinner.”
“Hold on—so I’m stuck with breakfast? That’s it? How am I supposed to show off my cooking skills with just toast and eggs? You two are unbelievable!” Gerryined, realizing he’d been cornered into the easiest slot.
His mind raced. What if Bonnie slept in and skipped breakfast altogether, heading straight to work? All his effort would go to waste! He shot his brothers a look of pure betrayal.
“Gerry,” Christina said gently, her lips curving into a smile. “Breakfast isn’t simple at all. Remember my favorite crab porridge? That takes time and skill.”
Gerry’s eyes brightened like a switch had been flipped, his annoyance melting away.
Only one thought stuck in his head: Christina liked breakfast. And that meant she’d appreciate his cooking.
???????? ???????????????? ???? ????????????????????????
“Alright then, tell me what kind of breakfast you like,” Gerry said eagerly. “I’ll make them all for you. Something new every day, I promise!”
Christina let out a softugh, and soon the whole room was filled with the sound ofughter.
The moment was warm and genuine—a picture of family at its best, wrapped inughter and love.
The Jones family came to Morfort Restaurant.
Gerry eagerly took a bite but immediately frowned. “Huh… It’s not as special as everyone said it would be, is it?”
He looked at Florrie. “Grandma, honestly, it’s not anywhere near as extraordinary as you made it sound.”
