?Chapter 1363:
Each person had agreed to prepare fifty million. The three brothers were supposed to do the same, and if anyone wanted to add more, it was to be discussed openly. But instead, they had secretly increased their contributions, hoping to stand out.
Their real goal was clear. They wanted to win Bonnie’s heart through underhanded means.
While the brothers continued their noisy contest, Florrie struck her cane against the floor and shouted sharply, “Enough!”
Annoyed, she gave each of them a light tap on the thigh with her cane.
“Back away a little. You’ll frighten Bonnie,” she scolded, ring at them with disapproval.
Then, as she turned toward Christina, her expression softened into warmth and affection. Her beloved Bonnie was, as always, her greatest joy.
Florrie held Christina’s hand gently, her face glowing with warmth and affection.
Every time Florrie looked at Christina, she feltpletely content, convinced that Christina was perfect in every way.
“Let’s go eat at Morfort Restaurant. Your brothers may think they’re great cooks, but they’ve got nothing on the chefs there,” Florrie said with a grin.
Florrie had noticed that Christina always ate more whenever they went to Morfort, which clearly meant she loved the food there.
Lately, the food had been even better. Maybe they had hired new chefs. Even when Florrie wasn’t hungry, she ended up eating more than usual.
Florrie had never tasted food that good before, so it made perfect sense that Christina liked it so much.
Every time Florrie brought it up around the family, they practically started drooling.
What Florrie didn’t realize was that Dn had been the one cooking those meals, and he had sent them straight to Christina. As soon as Christina started feeling better, Dn rushed back to Dorfield.
If Christina hadn’t pushed him to return to work, Dn would have stayed just to keep making her those amazing meals.
???????? ???????? ????????????????????????
Once Christina wrapped up her work, they nned to go to Kitaso together to visit Joelle’s grave.
“Grandma, how can you roast your own grandsons like that?” Gerry joked, throwing an arm around Florrie.
“I’m just telling the truth,” Florrie teased, smiling. “Go eat at Morfort and see for yourself. One bite and you’ll be begging them for lessons.”
Gerry made a face. “We’ve eaten there before. It’s fine, not amazing.”
He refused to admit that Morfort’s chefs were better than them. There was no way he was giving them that win.
He looked over at Bain and Jordy, hoping they’d back him up. “Right, guys?”
Bain and Jordy nodded together. “Yeah, totally.”
They couldn’t let some outsider chef beat them; they had to step up their cooking game to win Bonnie’s heart before someone else did.
