Chapter 1344

    ?Chapter 1344:

“Ugh… you two are unbelievable! Why drag me down with you? I already said I’d get the scriptwriter to kill me off!” Gerry moaned, slumping hard onto the sofa.

Still not giving up, he waited until his brothers eased their hold, then sprang up and bolted.

But he’d badly misjudged them. Just as heunched himself forward, they grabbed the back of his shirt cor, nearly choking him.

“Gah…” Gerry gagged and coughed violently. “You two are impossible! You’re making me sit here while you finish work—don’t you get that Bonnie needs to see me, her beloved brother, right now?”

Bain and Jordy shoved him back onto the sofa, faces cool, smiles thin and cold.

“I’m also her beloved brother,” the two said at the same time.

“Hmph!” Gerry snorted, turning his head away, eyes darting as he plotted. He was already imagining slipping out at night, sneaking away while the other two slept, and catching a flight back home.

The thought of his slick escape and triumphant return made him chuckle to himself, his shoulders rxing a touch.

What he didn’t know was that his two brothers behind him wore even craftier grins.

They shared a look, brows lifting slightly, already guessing exactly what Gerry was scheming.

Even if they fell asleep, they would keep one eye open on watch. Gerry really thought he could slip out while they slept?

He could keep dreaming. They weren’t going to give him that chance.

Christina and the group finally returned to the Vaughn family residence.

Their eyes were still tinged red, yet for the first time, they could breathe freely, the tension of the day beginning to fade.

“Christina, you’re absolutely amazing! I read all about you online—I swear, you’re unbelievable!” Ophelia gushed, her tone brimming with admiration.

Her fiery red hair made her porcinplexion glow, and her bright eyes sparkled with excitement.

    ???????????????????? ?????????????????? ???? g??????ν?????????????

“I just got lucky,” Christina replied with a modest smile.

She didn’t quite know how to handle Ophelia’s endlesspliments, which had begun the moment they’d stepped into the car and hadn’t stopped all the way home. Ophelia had been praising her without pause, and Christina felt herself blush at the attention.

“Lucky? Oh,e on—you’re being way too humble! You’re downright extraordinary!” Ophelia insisted, her grin radiant as she began ticking off on her fingers. “Shooting champion, racing prodigy, boxing master, fashion design genius, piano virtuoso, artifact restoration expert…”

The more she listed, the more her awe grew. Then, lowering her voice in excitement, she asked eagerly, “Christina, tell me honestly—you’re the Boxing Queen, right?”

She half-expected Christina tough it off, so when Christina gave a simple nod, Ophelia’s jaw nearly dropped.
