Chapter 1336

    ?Chapter 1336:

Beth’s eyes glistened, tinged red from emotion, as she looked at Christina with hope and yearning. Deep down, she was certain this young woman was Bonnie, her lost daughter.

Every instinct in Beth urged her to pull Christina into her arms, to touch her face, to give her the world’s finest things, but without the DNA results, she had no right to cross that fragile line.

Beth’s heart ached with affection for Christina. There was a bond she couldn’t exin. Even if the DNA results shattered her hopes, she knew she would still cherish Christina like her own child.

“I’d be happy to join you,” Christina replied with a gentle smile. “Though I do feel a little embarrassed about letting you go to so much trouble.”

“Oh, don’t be,” Ophelia said brightly. “It’s the least we can do.”

Ophelia had already looked up Christina online, but seeing her in person only deepened her admiration. Her eyes gleamed with open awe. If Christina were really her cousin, she thought, she’d never stop talking about it. To her, Christina was simply the best, unmatched in every way.

In the quiet, softly lit private room of Morfort Restaurant, Christina noticed her te overflowing with food.

The others continued to eagerly add more dishes to her te.

“That’s enough, I really can’t eat so much,” Christina said with an uneasy smile, feeling awkward at their excitement as she tried to stop them.

“Have a little more, it’s really good,” Florrie urged gently, her tone full of affection.

“Yes, try it, it’s delicious,” Beth chimed in, smiling warmly.

Christina gave a polite, uneasy smile. “You all should eat too. Please don’t keep adding more; I’ll serve myself.”

“Alright,” Florrie said, but momentster, she slipped another piece of meat onto Christina’s te, unable to resist.

With the DNA test results still uncertain, their kindness made Christina feel slightly heavy-hearted, as if their warmth came with invisible weight.

    ??????????? с???ρ???????? ??????????????????﹒?????

The rest of the meal went by with Christina smiling politely, hiding her unease behind small gestures.

When it was time to leave, they seemed reluctant to let her go, repeating reminders for her to drive safely. The concern and affection in their eyes were so sincere that Christina had to look away.

Christina couldn’t help but think that if she turned out not to be the person they hoped for, their disappointment would be unbearable.

She silently wished they would find the real girl soon—someone who deserved to grow up surrounded by such warmth. Deep down, she envied that kind of love and wondered if, somewhere, her own family was also waiting just as eagerly to find her.

After the DNA test, the Vaughn family returned home.

“How did it go? Is she Bonnie?” Amaya asked, her voice tight with anticipation as she hurried toward them the moment they walked in.
