?Chapter 1277:
“No,” Dn said firmly, already reaching for his phone.
Christina answered almost instantly.
“Miss me?” she teased, her voice light and sweet, filled with shy joy.
A faint smile tugged at Dn’s lips. “I sent you a gift. Go outside and take it.”
Just hearing her voice was enough to ease his pain. The fever still burned, but his heart felt warm again.
Christina noticed his voice was rough and frowned. “Are you sick?” she asked softly.
“It’s nothing serious. Just a small cold. I’ll be fine soon.” Dn’s smile deepened, warm and reassuring.
Her concern made his heart soar.
“You need to take better care of yourself. Don’t overwork,” Christina said, her brows knitting in worry. “Have you taken any medicine? Did you see a doctor?”
She was so worried that shepletely forgot about the gift Dn had mentioned earlier.
Dn chuckled. “Go on and take your gift first.”
“Alright,” she said, her tone turning yful. “But after I do, I’ll video call you to make sure you take your medicine.”
“Okay,” Dn replied, smiling sweetly.
From the driver’s seat, Edwin caught Dn’s bright smile in the rearview mirror. He wasn’t surprised anymore, but he couldn’t help sighing inwardly. Even the strongest had their weakness.
Christina had the cold and distant Dn wrapped around her finger. She was the only person in the world capable of that.
Still talking to Dn on the phone, Christina walked downstairs and out to the living room.
As she passed through the yard, she nced toward the gate but saw no one. “There’s nothing outside. Could it be at the vi entrance?” she asked, frowning.

“No. Go to the front gate and see for yourself,” Dn replied with a smile.
He sat waiting in the car, arge bouquet of red roses resting on hisp, his eyes fixed on the gate ahead.
Momentster, Christina appeared. She looked around, puzzled. “I only see a car…” she began, but before she could finish, the door opened and a familiar tall figure stepped out—Dn.
Seeing him holding the bouquet, Christina froze. Her heart swelled, and her eyes shimmered with tears.
“Do you like this gift?” Dn asked with a softugh.
“Yes… very much,” she said, her voice trembling. She hadn’t expected him toe himself.
Her joy overflowed like sunlight breaking through clouds.
