Chapter 1274

    ?Chapter 1274:

The rest of the Murray family thought the same, and dread settled over their faces.

There were only two pills. If Katy got one, that meant only a single pill remained—so who among the three of them would get the other?

Each one of them wanted to survive. None was willing to give up their chance.

Selfishness clouded every heart in the room.

“Just give me the antidote, and I’ll do whatever you ask—anything,” Katy said with a pleading smile.

Davina let out a coldugh, crushing her hopes. “I’m not giving you the antidote. If you want it, you’ll have to fight for it.”

“What? If you weren’t going to give it to me, why did you call me over here?” Katy snapped, anger and humiliation twisting her expression.

“Look at you. All flustered and angry—you’re really not cute like this,” Davina said coldly, lightly patting her cheek.

Katy’s face turned pale with fury; shame burned in her chest. “Are you trying to humiliate me on purpose?”

Davina leaned close, her breath brushing Katy’s ear as she whispered with a chilling smile, “Aside from the antidote, there’s another way to neutralize the poison.”

Katy’s annoyed expression faded, reced by a flicker of hope after hearing Davina speak.

That meant even if she hadn’t gotten the antidote, there was still another way to flush the poison out.

But wait. Davina despised the Murray family. Then why would she offer this information?

Something felt off. This had to be a setup.

“You’re seriously being nice?” Katy asked, her voice full of doubt.

“Nice? Heck no. I just pity you,” Davina said, her smile turning icy.

    Updates loaded now at gα?ησνe?s

“Pity me? For what? You’re the one who deserves pity!” Katy snapped, clearly annoyed.

Katy had grown up wrapped in love, spoiled withfort, and never had to worry about survival. What part of her life screamed “pitiable”?

Davina was the one who’d suffered. Her mom died young, her dad hated her, and she’d been dumped in the countryside to survive on her own.

Katy thought Davina had no right to pity anyone, especially not her.

“You’re pitiful and stupid,” Davina said with a sneer. “If I had died years ago, who do you think your parents would’ve thrown at Darian? You really believe they’d let your brother suffer like that? He’s the only heir Terence has. He’s the one who’s supposed to continue the family name.”

Katy’s heart dropped. Her face went pale in an instant.

“No! That’s bullshit!” Katy shouted, even though deep down, she already knew the truth. She just couldn’t ept that her parents would throw her away like they did Davina.

They had always spoiled her. How could they ever send her into something so cruel?

“Still don’t believe me?” Davina raised an eyebrow andughed coldly. “Then open your eyes and see your parents for what they really are. They’re scarier than evil itself.”

Davina ended her words quietly, then burst intoughter.

    “Hahaha…”

Katy’s face went pale, her mind repeating the word “impossible.” She couldn’t believe her family could be this cruel and heartless. They had abandoned Davina simply because she was the daughter of a woman her parents despised.
