Chapter 1260

    ?Chapter 1260:

These two clearly had no idea what they’d just triggered—and they wouldn’t walk away unscathed.

Before long, Conrad returned, trailing a step behind a middle-aged woman in a tailored suit and sses—Torrie Hardy, the manager of Morfort Restaurant.

Conrad’s posture was rigid and respectful.

Even the Murrays knew better than to disrespect a Morfort Restaurant manager—they’d tried and failed for years to win the manager’s favor, hoping to get closer to the restaurant’s elusive owner.

“Who is stirring up trouble here?” Torrie snapped. Her face was icy, her tone sharp.

Her gaze swept over the scene, detached and assessing.

“Torrie, it’s them!” Katy stepped forward, pointing triumphantly at Christina and Davina.

With Torrie here, she couldn’t wait to see theirposure crack.

If they were foolish enough to disrespect Morfort Restaurant’s manager, their downfall woulde even faster than the Murrays could orchestrate.

Torrie’s cold eyes moved from Davina to Christina—and then her heart skipped a beat.

Weren’t these the very guests her boss had instructed her to treat as royalty?

“Torrie, look at my face!” Katy cried, pulling Conrad forward. “She pped me, and her friend kicked my brother—inside your restaurant! You have to do something!”

Christina remained unshaken. “Her brother raised his hand first. I only defended myself. The security footage will confirm it.”

“Liar!” Katy’s voice trembled with rage. “You attacked him out of nowhere—everyone here saw it!”

She turned back to Torrie, tears welling in her eyes as she gingerly touched her swollen cheek. “Torrie, we’re paying customers! They attacked us inside your restaurant! If you don’t protect your customers, how can anyone feel safe dining here?”

Katy and Conrad exchanged smug grins, certain Torrie’s arrival meant Christina and Davina were finished.

They stood there, practically vibrating with anticipation, waiting for Torrie to erupt and put Christina and Davina firmly in their ce.

“Nice hit!” Torrie’s voice cut through the tension, clear and deliberate.

    The whole room went still.

Katy and Conrad stood frozen, mouths slightly agape, struggling to process what they’d just heard.

What the heck was happening? What did Torrie mean by that? She couldn’t possibly be taking Christina and Davina’s side… could she?

Katy couldn’t catch what was happening. With a frown, she asked, “Wait… Torrie, what are you saying? Do you want someone to hit them?”
