Chapter 1250

    Chapter 1250:

Terence had cast Davina away to rot in a remote vige years ago, left her to fend for herself—and somehow, she had survived. They had all assumed she’d perished long ago.

“Then why now?” Conrad demanded. “What’s brought her back all of a sudden? Don’t tell me she’s here to snatch back her mother’s inheritance?”

All that wealth had long be the Murrays’—and one day it would all be his. Davina could dream if she thought she’d see even a single coin of it again.

“No. She came for her mother’s ashes.” Terence gave a coldugh. “Good thing I was clever enough to call Wesson and have that bitch’s ashes moved before she arrived.”

“That’s her soft spot,” Nelly said, her tone sharp with malice. “As long as we have it, she’ll dance to our tune.”

“Exactly. She’ll do whatever we demand. Once she’s married into the Lloyd family, we will soar higher than ever,” Terence said smugly.

“We’ll just sit tight and wait for her to crawl back begging for mercy. The shame she brought on us today—I’ll make her pay tenfold!” Nelly intended tough out loud, only to wince when a jolt of pain shot through her jaw.

Clutching her jaw, she seethed with even deeper hatred for Davina.

“Don’t worry, Mom, Dad—when shees begging, I’ll make sure she gets what she deserves,” Conrad vowed.

Katy added, “She dared toy hands on you—we’ll repay her twice over! Let her see what we can do.”

While the Murrays gloated—certain Davina would be the one at their mercy—she was already on her way to the hospital.

Inside a restricted scenic area, Christina frowned at the three old men still bowing deep before her.

    ?????????????????? ?????????????? ??????????: ?????????ν???????????????

They’d been there a long time, frozen in their supplication.

“Are you here to work, or trying to set a record for the longest bow?” Christina finally snapped, unable to hold it in any longer.

“Miss Jones, I only hope you can sense our true remorse,” one of them pleaded.

“Yes, Miss Jones, please forgive us this once,” another begged.

“If you take us as your apprentice, we’ll do anything—even pay tuition!” the third cried.

Christina sighed inwardly; it felt like trying to speak sense to a wall.

“I told you—I already forgave you, but I’ll ept only one apprentice. Magnus is the one.”

Magnus, being called, sat up straighter at once, pride lifting his chin.

Thankfully, he’d had the backbone—and the sense—not to offend Christina, and that was why he became her sole disciple in restoring cultural relics. A flush of pride warmed him.

Christina’s face stayed cold. “Stop it. I said I’d take only one apprentice, and I meant it. You can freeze there forever—it won’t change my mind.”
