Chapter 1242

    ?Chapter 1242:

A moment ago, she’d been foolish enough to think the gift was for her.

    Clearly, she’d been wrong.

“I don’t need them,” she said coldly, shoving the sandal back into the box.

If even one diamond came loose while she was pping the Murrays, he’d probably make her pay for a new pair.

Not that she couldn’t afford it—but she refused to pay for his kind of extravagance.

Ralphy blinked, confused. She’d been fine a moment ago—what had changed?

He opened his mouth to ask, but Davina was already slipping off one of her own sandals.

“Step aside. I’ll do it myself.” She gestured for the guards to move back.

Terence and Nelly shivered in fear when she advanced, their faces already bruised and swollen.

“How dare you! I’m your father!” Terence barked.

“I told you—you don’t deserve to be my father.”

Without hesitation, Davina raised her sandal and brought it down hard. Using the shoe made it easier—the strikes didn’t sting her hand butnded with sharp, satisfying force.

Terence begged in agony, but she didn’t stop until he slumped to the floor, unconscious, blood bubbling at his lips.

“Your turn.” Her gaze snapped to Nelly, her voice like a whip.

“No… please! Have mercy!” Nelly cried, her face drained of all color.

She had just seen what Davina had done to Terence. The thought of those blowsnding on herself made her knees buckle. Being struck with the sole of a sandal—it was cruel and humiliating. Even watching it made people flinch.

“I could let you go,” Davina said, gripping Nelly’s chin tightly. Her voice dropped to a hiss. “Tell me—where are my mother’s ashes? Lie to me, and I swear you’ll regret it.”

“I’ll tell you! I’ll tell you everything!” Nelly sobbed, trembling uncontrobly. “They’re at Wesson Beckett’s house.”

“Who the hell is Wesson Beckett?” Davina snarled, tightening her grip. Her eyes burned with fury.

How could her mother’s ashes have ended up with a stranger?

Nelly drew in a sharp, shaky breath. It felt like her bones might pop apart under Davina’s hand mping down on her chin, and pain seared through her face.

She rasped out, her voice trembling, “Wesson said… he can cast curses to make sure her soul suffers in hell.”

Before Nelly could even finish, Davina’s grip tightened mercilessly. The searing pain made her cry out.

“Please—easy,” Nelly whimpered, tears welling in her eyes. Her face burned, her body trembling as sobs broke through.
