Chapter 1221

    ?Chapter 1221:

He saw nothing embarrassing about learning from the young Christina. In fact, he was proud of it.

For Magnus, seniority had nothing to do with age. It was all about skill. The more capable one was, the more respect one deserved.

Three elderly men watched with obvious displeasure as Magnus showed such deep respect to that young woman. To them, he looked pathetic and shameless.

“Magnus, how can you let a girl be your mentor? This is ridiculous!”

“Exactly! If you value talent, you could’ve made her your student. Did you really need to be hers at your age?”

“I doubt that she’s actually that talented. Aren’t you just talking her up for her career?”

As Magnus listened to them, his expression grew darker and darker. His face made it clear he was not pleased.

He stood with his hands sped behind him and let out a sharp, mocking snort, loud enough for everyone to hear.

“Humph! Look at you lot. You’re so full of yourselves. Just don’te begging her when you realize you need her help!”

The three old men didn’t even flinch. They were fully convinced Magnus was just blowing smoke.

They figured the young woman was probably Magnus’s niece or distant rtive, and he was just pulling strings to boost her career.

“Ha! You think we’d ever take advice from this little girl? Don’t make meugh.”

“Let me spell it out right now. I’d rather drop dead than ask for her guidance!”

“That’s right! We’re not shameless like you. We’d rather kick the bucket than go begging her for help!”

    ???????? ?????????? ? ????????????????.?????

Magnus was fuming. He pointed at them, ready to explode. “You—”

Before he could finish, Christina calmly lifted her hand, signaling him to stop.

“Magnus, let’s just go inside. The mural needs fixing, and the faster we get it done, the faster we can get out of here.”

One moment, his face was ice-cold and ready for war. The next, he was all smiles like nothing had happened. “For sure. Whatever you say.”

The mayor stepped up with a polite smile. “Exactly! Fixing the murales first. Let’s get it done fast so we can all head home.”

A few people in the crowd clearly didn’t like Christina, but after seeing Magnus tear into the three elders, they kept their mouths shut.

They were dripping with doubt. None of them believed Christina had what it took to restore something so important.

The mural wasn’t just decoration. It carried deep historical importance.
