Chapter 1065

    ?Chapter 1065:

“Okay!” Lauretta’s eyes shimmered with emotion, reddening with restrained tears. She forwarded the location Christina had uncovered straight to her father. If her son returned alive this time, then Christina would have saved him once more.

Just then, Lauretta’s phone rang—it was her father, Aldred.

“Where did you get such a precise location?” Aldred’s voice was firm and wary.

“Dad, this isn’t the moment for exnations. Please, I’m begging you—help me. Caspien means everything to me,” Lauretta pleaded, her voice shaking with tears.

“But if this location is wrong, we’ll lose the chance to save Caspien, and worse, we could alert the kidnappers and put Caspien’s life in even greater danger.” Aldred’s concern was…

Rooted only in Caspien’s safety. If their men stormed the wrong hideout, they wouldn’t have enough time to rush to the real one.

“Dad, this location came from my friend, and I trust herpletely. Please, just trust me this once!” Lauretta urged desperately.

There was silence on the other end until Aldred’s deep voice finally came through. “Alright. I’ll prepare two ns. One team will head to this location you sent me, and another will stay on standby for confirmation.”

“Thank you, Dad. Please—hurry!” Lauretta said urgently.

Once the call ended, Lauretta turned toward Christina, about to speak, when the doorbell suddenly rang. Someone had arrived.

“I’ll check,” Lauretta said quickly, rising to her feet and striding toward the door. Through the video screen, she saw Dominic waiting outside. She hesitated for only a second before pulling herself together, her face hardened with resolve, and slowly opened the door.

“The wedding is about to begin. Are you ready?” Dominic asked. His expression was stern, though his voice carried a gentler note.

Then his eyes fell on Lauretta—she was dressed casually, her makeup stripped away.

Dominic blinked in surprise. Hadn’t she already done her makeup and put on her wedding dress a while back? The ceremony was minutes away, yet she hadn’t gotten ready. Did she intend to back out again? Was she nning to run from him and the wedding?

He hadn’t cared when she broke off their engagement before, but the idea of her running now stoked irritation and fury inside him. “What on earth are you doing? Are you actually thinking of ditching the wedding?” he demanded, his wordsced with biting sarcasm and icy disdain.

“I’m sorry, Dominic, I—” Lauretta began, but he cut her off sharply.

“Enough! Lauretta! What do you take me for? Stop testing my patience again and again!”

Dominic turned to walk away, but Lauretta’s hand shot out and held him back. Her fingers tightened around his arm as she blurted, “I need to talk to you.”

“I’ll give you an hour to get your makeup redone,” Dominic said, his expression carved in sternness.

“Could we postpone the wedding? I can’t marry you today.” A storm of emotions whirled inside Lauretta, torn between silence and revealing the existence of her child.
