?Chapter 1047:
“Any toy I want will be mine?”.
Dn looked at him with childlike expectation.
“Yes! As long as you sign it!”.
Robin promised without hesitation. If Dn really signed the contract, toys would be a small price to pay.
“Toys, toys. Alright,”.
Dn said cheerfully, finally lifting the pen.
Robin’s eyes clung to the pen in Dn’s hand, his heart hammering with anticipation. But just as Dn was about to sign, he halted.
Robin nearly lost his temper but managed to rein it in. “Why’d you stop? Don’t you want to win?”.
he pressed, desperate.
“I want to win.”.
Dn nodded, a subtle, wicked smile curving his lips. He was simply savoring the pleasure of leading Robin by the nose.
“Then hurry up and sign. I’m starting the timer. If you don’t finish before it runs out, you’ll lose. And if you lose, you’ll have to do something silly,”.
Robin threatened.
“I won’t lose. I want to win,”.
Dn replied, just as his eyes caught a familiar figure at the edge of the room.
Immediately, Dn raised his voice, cing it with a note of eager defiance. “Sign. I want to win!”
“Come on, Dn! Sign it, you little fool! Let’s see if you can dodge the trap this time, ha-ha…”.
Robin gloated inwardly.
Robin chuckled to himself in triumph, his sharp gaze locked greedily on the pen clutched in Dn’s hand. So focused was he that he failed to notice a shadow silently stepping up behind him.
“Signing what?”.

A calm voice rang out without warning.
Startled, Robin blurted without thinking, “Of course, he’s signing a contract. Now scram—don’t you dare interfere…”
The words died abruptly on his lips. That voice… It was Christina!
The moment Robin realized she had returned, he instinctively lunged for the contract.
But Dn was quicker—he had already handed it over to Christina with a grin of satisfaction.
“I sign this, and I’ll win,”.
Dn dered with a goofy smile, though a sly sparkle danced in his eyes. This was the price of Robin’s attempt to trick him.
Christina unfolded the contract, and with every use she read, her frown grew heavier. Lifting her head, she leveled Robin with a sharp re. “You’re worse than a corporate shark. nning to make Dn your cook for a lifetime?”
“It’s not what it looks like! I was only teasing him. Just a little game, that’s all,”.
Robin hastily lied, forcing a grin that carried not a shred of conviction.
“You think I’ll buy that?”.
Christina snapped, rolling the paper into a cylinder and tapping it firmly against Robin’s forehead. “Robin, I didn’t expect you to stoop so low. Trying to trick a fool—I’m almost impressed.”
Her biting sarcasm hung in the air, and Dn blinked up at her with wide, earnest eyes. “I’m not a fool,”.
he insisted firmly.
“Just a bit of exaggeration from me. I’m not calling you a fool,”.
Christina reassured him gently, patting his head. “I’m saying he is shameless.”
