Chapter 1591

    ?Chapter 1591:

The Major trembled, nearly losing his footing. “Sir, please calm down! I—I’m sorry!”

But before he could say more, Dominic pointed toward Chris in the distance and thundered, “Go get him! Arrest Chris Cooper—now!”

The Major stiffened for a moment, then responded quickly. “Yes, sir! Right away!”

He had no idea what had sparked this explosion, but Dominic’s murderous expression made one thing clear—this was not the time for questions. He hurried off to mobilize security.

Dominic’s fury was at its peak. Not even when Maia’s mother, Melody, had fled years ago had he been this enraged. Chris would pay dearly for this.

After cursing inwardly a few more times, Dominic forced himself to look back down at the documents, determined to see which unfortunate woman had married that bastard. He flipped to the final page.

It was a scanned copy of the marriage certificate. The first page identified Chris Cooper as the certificate holder. Dominic gave a cold snort and shifted his gaze to the right.

Under the spouse’s name, a single line stood out unmistakably: Maia Watson.

Dominic froze. His mind went nk. He stared at the name, unable to believe what he was seeing.

    ??av?? y?????? ??аvo???????? ???????????? ???? ?????????????l?.со??

Dominic froze as though lightning had struck him.

For the first time in his battle-scarred life, his mind wentpletely nk. The wind stilled. The distant machinery faded to nothing.

    Maia was married? To Chris?

His granddaughter’s husband was not only a Cooper bastard but a notorious womanizer with a trail of scandals. Dominic prayed it was a nightmare. The document’s weight in his hand proved otherwise.

Nothing could be more absurd, more intolerable.

Snapping back to himself, Dominic ground his teeth and roared, “They must divorce!” His voice shook with fury. “Right now!”

He took one furious step forward, ready to drag that boy away by the cor—when a sharp, crushing pain exploded in his chest, like a fist mming into his sternum.

    “Ugh—”

His breath caught. The world tilted violently. Darkness swallowed him whole.

    “General Watson!”

Soldiers rushed forward in panic, voices ovepping in rm. “General Watson has fainted! Call a medic!”

Maia heard themotion and turned instinctively. A wall of bodies blocked her view of her grandfather crumpled on the ground. Before she could push forward, sharpmands cut through the chaos.

    “Don’t move!” “Hands up!”

Four heavily armed soldiers stormed in like a strike team, mming Chris—who was still on the phone—face-down into the dirt. They wrenched his arms behind his back and cuffed him. Chris didn’t resist. He only frowned as his phone ttered to the ground beside him.

Maia lunged forward. “What are you doing? Let him go!”

The sweating Major intercepted her, respectful but urgent. “Ms. Watson—stay back! It’s General Watson’s direct order to arrest everyone tied to Cooper Group!” He lowered his voice, ncing toward the chaos. “Your grandfather… he just copsed. Please go to him.”

Maia’s heart lurched. Her grandpa had fainted?
