Chapter 1878: Chapter 1979: Arming Our Own Forces

Zhang Wendong couldn’t understand Su Yongzhen. He’s the son of the renowned God of Killing, so why does he care so much about a nobody?
"No more talking, hurry and investigate." Su Yongzhen ordered.
Zhang Wendong had no choice but to nod and leave. With their power in the God of Killing domain, investigating this kind of thing is a piece of cake.
He went outside, casually made a phone call, and it didn’t take long before he got a call back.
Upon learning that Xiang Yu and his group were forming a gang in the slums, Zhang Wendong was initially stunned, then shook his head with a helpless smile and muttered, "Some people just can’t help being troublesome and actually went there."
After getting the information, he quickly went to Su Yongzhen’s office and ryed Xiang Yu’s situation.
Su Yongzhen listened and was speechless. Xiang Yu is truly Xiang Yu; no matter where he goes, he can always gather a team.
"The slum is not that easy to navigate; I doubt they’llst long there," Zhang Wendong said.
Su Yongzhen shook his head and said, "You don’t understand him. Brother Yu is very capable. If no one bothers them, he will definitely create something significant there."
Zhang Wendong knew Su Yongzhen was obviously captivated by Xiang Yu, so he just shook his head helplessly without saying more.
While the two were discussing matters, Su Yongzhen’s phone rang. He checked the caller ID, then chuckled, "Speak of the devil."
Zhang Wendong sneered, "I’m sure they’re in trouble and want us to help them."
"Brother Yu," Su Yongzhen greeted warmly.
"How’s everything goingtely?" Xiang Yu asked.
Su Yongzhen followed Xiang Yu’s advice and didn’t continue searching for Wolf King’s whereabouts. Instead, he focused on winning over other elders of the God of Killing.
"Very well, Brother Yu, you were right. Su Zhe and his group seem to have made no progress and even lost some key people," Su Yongzhen said excitedly.
"Hmm, well done. The Wolf King is not that simple. Keep on this path, you can do it," Xiang Yu encouraged.
"Thank you, Brother Yu," Su Yongzhen replied with sincere gratitude.
Seeing Su Yongzhen so emotionally involved, Zhang Wendong sighed and shook his head.
"I need your help with something," Xiang Yu mentioned.
Zhang Wendong, listening from the side, snorted, "See, I told you he was in trouble."
Ignoring Zhang Wendong, Su Yongzhen said, "Brother Yu, just say what you need."
"Are there any channels for getting weapons? I’m short on a batch," Xiang Yu inquired.
Su Yongzhen was momentarily stunned, thinking Xiang Yu was in danger in the slums and needed his support.
"What’s the matter, no resources in that area?" Xiang Yu asked.
"Oh, no," Su Yongzhen quickly replied. "I have some contacts; here’s someone’s number. You can call them and say I referred you."
"Alright, send me his number," Xiang Yu said.
After some pleasantries, Su Yongzhen sent the number to Xiang Yu.
Sitting on the side, Zhang Wendong hadn’t expected Xiang Yu and his group to be buying weapons; he had underestimated them.
"The slums are poor. Where do they get money for weapons?" Zhang Wendong wondered.
Su Yongzhen chuckled, "There’s a lot you don’t know about them. They don’tck money."
Xiang Yu saw the number sent to him and dialed it immediately.
The person on the other end spoke in the localnguage, which Xiang Yu had already mastered fluently.
"Who are you?" the person asked coldly.
"I’m short on a batch of weapons and would like to purchase from you. Su Yongzhen referred me," Xiang Yu stated simply.
"Who’s Su Yongzhen? I don’t know him, and I don’t sell weapons," the man replied bluntly.
"The son of the God of Killing," Xiang Yu said.
The person paused, "Oh, you mean Mr. S. Well, if he referred you, that’s different. You can call me Z. How much do you need?"
Xiang Yu knew these people never use their real names, so he said, "Hello, Mr. Z. We need fifty handguns, fifty submachine guns..."
After Xiang Yu listed his requirements, the person on the other end was quite surprised, not expecting Xiang Yu to order such arge amount, which was no small matter.
Their attitude towards Xiang Yu significantly improved, recognizing he wasn’t an ordinary individual.
"Could I know which organization you belong to?" Z asked politely.
"That’s unnecessary. You provide the weapons, we pay you, fair trade. No other questions needed," Xiang Yu replied straightforwardly.
"Sorry about that," Z quickly apologized.
This is an unwritten rule. In transactions, the buyer doesn’t ask about the source of the weapons, and the seller doesn’t ask about their destination.
Knowing too much can be dangerous. Z asked out of curiosity and regretted it soon after.
"Since you want arge quantity, we’ll need some time to prepare," Z said.
"No problem, how long?" Xiang Yu asked.
"I’ll notify you of the time and ce of the transaction in three days. Since Mr. S referred you, you should be aware of the rules," Z replied.
"Deal, I’ll wait for your message. This is my number; contact me when you’re ready," Xiang Yu said.
"Alright, goodbye." With that, Z hung up.
Standing beside Xiang Yu, Xiao Xuan said, "Brother, ordering so much at once might attract attention."
Xiang Yu nodded, "I’ve considered that, but we have to arm ourselves; otherwise, we’ll be passive."
Xiao Xuan nodded too; you can’t be afraid to stand out when you’re in this line of work.
"Let’s go, we need to find Zhuzi and the others," Xiang Yu said, heading toward the distance.
Though they didn’t know where Tie Zhuzi had gone, they could easily find them because they could hear loud voices from afar.
At this moment, Tie Zhuzi was leading them in boxing exercises.
A group of people squatted in horse stance, throwing punches.
Xiang Yu and Xiao Xuan looked on speechlessly, noting how it resembled the Shaolin Temple.
"Zhuzi, when did you learn to box?" Xiang Yu walked over with a smile.
Tie Zhuzi giggled and scratched his head, "I saw it on TV."
Xiang Yu shook his head with a smile, watching the fifty people lined up, punching in unison, which seemed ratherical.
Most of these people were malnourished and skinny, not even close to the level of Little Ba’s team.
"Xiao Xuan, you handle training these people and get some meat for them; their diet needs to be ensured," Xiang Yu instructed.
Xiao Xuan smiled awkwardly, "Brother, better if Wu Jinges. He has more experience in training."
Xiang Yu thought for a moment, "We’ll see. We don’t know how things are with Little Ba."
