Chapter 1783: Chapter 1784: Xiang Yu Is Put Under House Arrest

"Is this evidence really that important?" Xiang Yu asked Ailock, puzzled.
Ailock leaned against the sofa, looked up at the ceiling, and said, "Without evidence, what makes you think I should trust you? What if you’re sent by the rebel army?"
"Do I look like one?" Xiang Yu said, a bit speechless.
"I don’t judge people by their appearances," Ailock replied.
To be able to sit in Ailock’s position, he’s obviously lived through many deceptions; he wouldn’t let his emotions influence his judgment.
His gut feeling told him Xiang Yu was telling the truth, but rationality warned him not to be reckless in this matter.
Just as Xiang Yu was getting anxious to say something, Ailock’s phone rang. He took the phone, paused for a moment, then nced at Xiang Yu, indicating for him to stay silent.
Ailock took a moment to calm his emotions before answering the call with a bright smile, "Why do you suddenly have time to call me today?"
The call was from none other than China’s Number One.
Sitting there, Xiang Yu also recognized Number One’s voice, and he felt an indescribable excitement.
After exchanging pleasantries, China’s Number One asked, "Have the supplies arrived? How’s that patient of yours doing?"
Upon hearing this, Ailock couldn’t help but nce at Xiang Yu a few more times, obviously China’s Number One’s call was mainly to inquire about Xiang Yu’s situation.
"The supplies have arrived, and we’ve saved the person," Ailock said cheerfully.
Upon hearing that the person had been saved, China’s Number One secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
"What’s the name of your patient?" China’s Number One suddenly asked.
Ailock was taken aback; he didn’t even know Xiang Yu’s name yet.
"I am Xiang Yu," Xiang Yu could hear the conversation over the phone and promptly replied.
"His name is Xiang Yu," Ailock quickly said.
China’s Number One stopped abruptly upon hearing this name. It indeed matched his expectation; the person was none other than Xiang Yu.
"Is there a problem?" Ailock asked in confusion.
"Oh, no," Number One suddenly said, "I know this person too; he is trustworthy."
Hearing Number One say this, Ailock froze, then couldn’t help but look at Xiang Yu again.
After a round of pleasantries over the phone, they hung up.
Ailock’s face was very solemn; he looked at Xiang Yu for a long time before asking, "Who exactly are you?"
Since even China’s Number One knew Xiang Yu, it showed that this person was not an unknown figure.
After hearing Number One’s call, Xiang Yu replied, "To be honest, I am a special forces soldier from China."
Upon hearing this, Ailock’s expression turnedplicated. Although their rtionship with China was good, this didn’t mean China’s special forces coulde to their territory.
"What are you doing here?" Ailock asked, his face darkened.
Xiang Yu didn’t hesitate and said, "Since my identity is exposed now, I’ll just be blunt with you."
Xiang Yu organized his thoughts and said, "Next year, we will host a grand military parade in China, but ording to reliable sources, some organizations n to use this opportunity to cause trouble. My main task is to find these people."
Xiang Yu spoke candidly and convincingly, and Ailock nodded in agreement.
China’s Number One had mentioned this matter to him as well, saying certain organizations might want to sabotage the event.
Now hearing it straight from Xiang Yu’s mouth made Ailock believe it more.
"Have you found that organization?" Ailock asked with concern.
Xiang Yu frowned and shook his head, "Not yet, but we have some leads, though during our investigation we discovered Rff’s issue."
Ailock sighed and seriously asked Xiang Yu, "Can you really confirm that Rff is with the rebel forces?"
With China’s Number One vouching for Xiang Yu, Ailock began to believe him.
"Commander, do you know about someone in your army named Rumus?" Xiang Yu asked.
Ailock thought for a moment before nodding, "I’ve heard of him. Last time during the engagement with the rebel forces, he made significant contributions."
During thest sh with the rebels, Ailock showed great interest; a dark horse appeared, and it was Rumus.
"Now Rumus has been detained by Rff," Xiang Yu stated simply.
"What?" Ailock was shocked, then asked, "Wasn’t he promoted to deputymander? Why is he detained?"
Immediately, Xiang Yu exined the whole situation to Ailock.
After listening, Ailock angrily mmed the table and said, "We should protect such patriotic soldiers. How could he be dered guilty so easily? What kind ofmander are you talking about?"
Xiang Yu spoke softly, "The key issue is not him but Rff."
Ailock calmed down a lot, then leaned back on the sofa, carefully considering these issues.
Xiang Yu sat there without disturbing him.
About ten minutester, Ailock sighed and asked, "How confident are you in proving Rff is with the opposition?"
In fact, Ailock had already begun to form his own n, but he still wanted to hear Xiang Yu’s thoughts.
"Whether he is or not, we’ll only know after investigating him," Xiang Yu thought for a moment and continued, "Commander, you must have realized by now that not everyone around you is trustworthy; surely there are people monitoring you."
Ailock didn’t speak; he and Rff were not harmonious, having spies nted on both sides was quite normal.
But to find out that Rff was with the rebel forces elevated the issue to a new level.
"For the time being, stay here. Don’t wander around," Ailock said, then stood up and walked towards the outside.
Xiang Yu knew he already had a n, so he quickly asked, "How long do I have to wait here?"
Ailock didn’t answer Xiang Yu and walked out directly.
Xiang Yu looked around the room; since he couldn’t leave, he decided to sleep well here.
In the One Base in the Dashi Mountain, Tie Zhuzi and the others were sitting together discussing matters.
"Will Brother Yu be in any danger?" Tie Zhuzi asked with some concern.
"Don’t worry, since Brother Yu has nned this, he certainly has his own ideas," Wu Jing replied.
When they parted at the hospital, Xiang Yu had told them he’d be staying with Ailock for some time and informed them of what was supposed to be done afterward.
"Rest early tonight; tomorrow we’ll proceed ording to n," Wu Jing said, looking at the two.
Tie Zhuzi and Xiao Xuan both nodded, then got up and each walked away...
