Chapter 1779 - 1780: The Brothers Wait in Nervous Anticipation

Chapter 1779: Chapter 1780: The Brothers Wait in Nervous Anticipation

"Why hasn’t yourmandere out yet?" Liu Yuhang nced at the soldier standing to the side and asked.

The man awkwardly smiled and shook his head, indicating he didn’t know either.

"No, I have to go back. I’ll leave this matter to your superior, but I have to go back and take care of that patient," Liu Yuhang said, preparing to walk outside.

"No, you can’t leave. Themander hasn’te out yet," the man blocked Liu Yuhang and said.

"I can’t wait any longer. Once yourmanderes out, please tell him the equipment needs to be sent over as soon as possible," Liu Yuhang said before walking out.

The soldier didn’t force him to stay, and arranged for someone to escort Liu Yuhang away.

At this time, Ailock was exchanging pleasantries with the Number One of China.

The rtionship between the two countries was excellent, not only in military aspects but even the leaders of both sides were friends.

"What, you want to transport a piece of equipment?" queried the confused Chinese Number One.

Ailock exined the situation on this side, and after listening, the Chinese Number One quickly said, "Don’t worry, I’ll arrange for someone to quickly send it over to you."

"No need, Tianyu Hospital has already prepared everything. You just need to notify them, so the ne can deliver it directly," Ailock said.

"Tianyu Hospital?" the Chinese Number One asked, puzzled.

Upon hearing this name, the first person that came to mind was Xiang Yu, who had been assigned there on a mission. Now, it was Tianyu Hospital treating this patient, and it sounded urgent.

"What does that patient look like?" the Chinese Number One quickly asked.

Ailock didn’t think much and described Xiang Yu’s appearance.

After hearing this, the Chinese Number One was stunned, as Ailock’s description matched the image of Xiang Yu in his mind.

"What happened, why aren’t you speaking?" Ailock asked, puzzled.

"Oh, it’s nothing, just thinking of someone. Don’t worry, I’ll notify them," the Chinese Number One said.

    "Thank you so much."

The two exchanged a few more pleasantries before hanging up the phone.

After hanging up, the Chinese Number One sat there thinking for a while, eventually smiling bitterly and shaking his head as he muttered, "Xiang Yu, Xiang Yu, it couldn’t really be you, could it?"

Liu Yuhang, at his end, was worried about Xiang Yu’s safety and directly had someone send him back to the hospital.

Now, the outside of his hospital was tightly surrounded by the military, with entry and exit requiring stringent verification.

Returning to the hospital, Liu Yuhang went straight to Xiang Yu’s ward.

There was no one else in the room, and being nighttime, the nurses were resting in the adjacent room unless there was something urgent.

Liu Yuhang closed the door and then approached Xiang Yu’s bedside.

Standing by the bed, Liu Yuhang’s eyes were red. Without Xiang Yu, Liu Yuhang wouldn’t have his current sess.

Now Xiang Yuy here, and Liu Yuhang feltpletely helpless.

No one understood Xiang Yu’s current condition better than he did, and even if the equipment arrived, he couldn’t be entirely sure he’d save Xiang Yu’s life.

"Brother Yu, you must hang in there; the brothers are still waiting for you," Liu Yuhang quietly wiped away his tears and then took out his phone to call Xiaoxuan.

At this moment, Xiaoxuan, along with Tie Zhuzi and others, was at the base without rest, waiting for news about Xiang Yu.

Since separating from Xiaoxuan, Xiang Yu had been out of contact.

Tie Zhuzi, impatient from waiting at the base, wanted to go out alone to find him, but Wu Jing and Xiaoxuan stopped him.

Since Xiang Yu decided this way, he surely had his ns, and rushing out might disrupt them.

The few of them sat together without speaking, and the atmosphere was somewhat oppressive.

"I’m going to sleep. If there’s no news about Brother Yu, don’t bother me," Tie Zhuzi said gruffly.

He was resentful towards Xiaoxuan, as every time Xiang Yu went on a mission with him, only Xiaoxuan would return.

    This wasn’t the first time.

"Zhuzi, don’t worry..." Wu Jing attempted to calm Tie Zhuzi, but Tie Zhuzi suddenly shouted, "How can I not worry? Every time Brother Yu goes with Xiaoxuan, something happens."

Hearing this, Xiaoxuan also became upset. In those situations, he hadn’t had a choice; Xiang Yu ordered him to leave, and he couldn’t disobey Xiang Yu’s orders.

Just as Xiaoxuan was about to retort, his phone rang.

Upon hearing the ring, everyone quieted down.

Few people knew Xiaoxuan’s phone number, so at this time it must be Xiang Yu.

Tie Zhuzi’s face lit up with joy, and before he checked the caller ID, he grabbed the phone and said, "Brother Yu, where are you now?"

"I’m not your Brother Yu," Liu Yuhang replied irritably from the other end.

Tie Zhuzi frowned upon hearing that and checked the phone, seeing the name ’Liu Yuhang’ disyed. A wave of annoyance surged within him.

"Damn you, what are you doing calling in the middle of the night? Are you looking for trouble?" Tie Zhuzi shouted.

The feeling of having your hopes dashed is something one can’t understand without experiencing it firsthand.

Liu Yuhang was also irritated and was about to curse back when the call went dead—the phone had been hung up by Tie Zhuzi.

Wu Jing, sitting on the side, sighed and said, "Why didn’t you let Yuhang finish? He might have had something important."

"What could he have?" Tie Zhuzi grumbled.

Then the phone rang again, but Tie Zhuzi didn’t bother to answer and tossed it over to Xiaoxuan.

As soon as Xiaoxuan picked up the call, Liu Yuhang’s furious voice came through.

"Tie Zhuzi, you bastard, don’t take your anger out on everyone. How could you look after Brother Yu like this? Where are you? Hurry and get over here," Liu Yuhang shouted.

He felt much better after venting.

Hearing it was about Xiang Yu, Xiaoxuan quickly said, "It’s Xiaoxuan here. What were you saying? What’s wrong with Brother?"

Xiaoxuan’s voice trembled; he worried he’d misheard.

"Brother Yu is here with me, you guys bettere quickly," Liu Yuhang said more calmly upon realizing it was Xiaoxuan speaking.

"Brother is with you?" Xiaoxuan asked excitedly.

Tie Zhuzi, overhearing this, snatched the phone back and shouted, "You say Brother Yu is with you? You bastard, why didn’t you say so earlier? How is Brother Yu now? If anything happens to him, I’m not done with you, Liu Yuhang, listen to me..."

But before Tie Zhuzi could finish, the call ended.

Xiaoxuan and Wu Jing both gave Tie Zhuzi a look of reproach, knowing he let his emotions get the better of him. He awkwardly smiled and said, "Lost control of my emotions, I’ll call him right back."

"No need. Brother Yu is at the hospital. Let’s go now," Wu Jing said steadily.

Xiaoxuan and Tie Zhuzi quickly nodded. Although unsure of what had happened, they were certain Xiang Yu was injured.

"I’ll get the car," Tie Zhuzi said, rushing outside, realizing he’d been too agitated earlier and now needed to make amends...
